Can You Name One Public Figure With Integrity? |
|
Do you know of any public figure that is of such high integrity that you admire them and hold their opinion in high regard?
Sadly, and I hope without too much cynicism, I find there is no one out there who is not, in my opinion, an opportunist and lacking the attribute of integrity.

I don't always agree with him, but he is true to his principles. I also admire Bernie Sanders.

Molly Ivins, and until recently (since sadly, they're gone), Paul Wellstone, Frank Zappa, Fred Rogers, and Bob Keesham. And no, I'm not joking about those last two.

Al Gore, Russ Feingold, Barbara Boxer and many other Democrats. Jim Jeffords has certainly proven to be the ONLY former republican with integrity. He's the only one to leave the republican cabal.

with lots of love and no cynicism.
on edit:
I forgot Dennis Kucinich. and there is always the founder of Ben & Jerry's, what's his name? True Majority. His speech at the October rally was moving and then don't forget GRANNYD or Molly I either, and what about Jim Hightower?

Ron Paul has "integrity" if you mean rigid and unwavering adherence to principles by "integrity"...of course, those principles are venal and a product of willful ignorance and Paul is as crazy and hate-filled as a shithouse rat....but he's sincerely crazy and hate-filled as a shithouse rat.
If you mean people who try to do the right thing for the sake of principles and ideals but occasionally slip and fail, yeah, I can think of some.
