Up or Down vote for Bolton? No, recess appointment. |
|
Seems like our chicken-shit leader, who has been crying about an up or down vote for his appointees, only has an up or down vote in mind for those who will win. Bolton on the other hand will be handed his office without any votes from the Congress. Chicken-shit. http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/07/28/bolton.appointment/index.html

So much for that mantra. I bet we won't hear that term out of the GOP for awhile.

They'll keep talking about "up or down" votes, confident that the media and most of the public won't call them on their hypocrisy. Seems to happen all the time.

2. That's fine. It will be more fun watching his indictment if he's in office |
|
I'd rather he be at the UN when he's hauled off to court.

6. I don't think so. Immunity applies to foreign diplomats. |
|
At least that was what I was able to figure out from a quick Google.

7. All diplomatic immunity means |
|
is that the country who issues the diplomatic passport has exclusive right to prosecute for a crime.
So he would have no immunity to US prosecution, but if he shot someone while in France, the French couldn't touch him. However, he could be tried in the US, by US courts, for violation of the French law.

8. Funny how the repugs are so insistant |
|
on an 'up or down' vote now after denying 61 of President Clinton's nominees an up or down vote.
