Powell is spinning and lying on CNN
Judy Woodruff is on instead of Wolf.

Powell -- give it up.

1. Understandable why you didn't put this in "Breaking News"
Powell's lies are old news.

8. She really stung him with the quote he supposedly made about General
Clark....All he could end up saying was "I don't recall saying that." I'd love to see Harry Belafonte (a wonderful human being) on Larry King again...He was so right in what he said on that show about Powell....

11. Didn't he say that Clark was one of the finest soldiers with whom
he had ever served? Score one for Clark.

12. Yes he said that but he apparently has said disparaging things about
Clark to some people...referring to him as a person who was very pushy etc..(don't remember the exact quote)...This is where Powell said he didn't remember saying it....He looked guilty as hell to me, like he was lying through his teeth.

14. Yeah but now he's on the record with saying positive things
about Clark. No record of the negative.

7. MY GOD! He said MICROBREWERIES can justify war!!!
Edited on Sun Sep-28-03 11:29 AM by barbaraann
I don't have the exact wording but he was saying something along the lines that microbreweries could be dual-use, just-in-time facilities for manufacturing bioweapons.

WITH A STRAIGHT FACE!!!!

(on ABC)

18. wow, Catwoman love the Time Cover
My sentiments exactly. I just think that, at some point, you tell yourself, "I'm not cut out for this. I'm not fit for public office". "These people are after me like hyenas, they just don't stop. And they tap me on the shoulder and they remind me of things I've said and how should I know? I can't remember that far back".

He hates what he does. He hates what he's become. And then he gets up the next day and goes back for more. The problem with assembly-line lying for years on end (sorry guys, I know I'm beating a dead horse, I promise I'll stop after this), he becomes a shrunken, twisted remant of his former self, and sooner or later it becomes obvious to everyone.

What a disgrace he is to his own people. For their sake, he should get out.

19. I think they have something on him.
Actually, I think the entire BFEE is bonded together with criminal sexual misconduct. Greed and lust for power are not enough to make people do what they do.
