Have you seen this SICK piece Republicans are passing around. SICK!!!
Edited on Sat Jul-30-05 11:19 AM by dArKeR
Robin Williams' plan....(Hard to argue with this logic!)

I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for
peace. So, here's one plan."

1..) "The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their
affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega,
Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those 'good ole boys,' We will never
"interfere" again.

2..) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with
Germany, South Korea, the Middle East, and the Philippines. They don't want
us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking
through holes in the fence.

3..) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and
leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will
be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they
are..

They're illegal!!! France will welcome them.

4..) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days
unless given a special permit!!!!!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be
allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide
here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab
drivers or 7-11 cashiers.

5..) No foreign "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If
they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby.

6..) The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise.
This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require
a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have
to cope for a while.

7..) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for
their oil. If they don't like it, we go some place else. They can go
somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling
up the storage sites would be enough.)

8..) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will
not "interfere." They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement
or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given
to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

9..) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island some place. We don't
need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would
make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10.) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can
call us "Ugly Americans" any longer. The Language we speak is

ENGLISH.....learn it...or LEAVE.....

Now, isn't that a winner of a plan?

"The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your poor, your tired,
your huddled masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'You want
a piece of me?' "

++++++++++++++++

Sent to me by a Republican friend. 100% Lush Limbutt zombie. I send him articles of fact to discuss but he never has any facts to reply. This one he sends with his lips drooling because he "got he" on this one! In my opinion, America is full of uneducated and racists people like this! They're not able to use their minds objectively. I think they're full of hatred and racism which is the only thing fueling their lives. Which could lead to a philosophical question of; Does Satan actually live in a Republican's body?

1. I don't think Robin Williams actually penned this by the way
And I've seen it attributed to George Carlin who I know didn't write it.

10. Why are the freepers always trying to
steal our celebrities? They have Toby Keith, Charlie Daniels, Ted Nugent and John Wayne. They don't need any of our librul stars.

13. Origins and Variations from Snopes.com
Edited on Sat Jul-30-05 12:27 PM by IanDB1
<snip>

Variations:

Early versions of this list included an eleventh entry:

11) And lastly bring back the manufacturing from our country, curtail the cheap imports from all over the world and put the middle class back to work in our country.

Origins:

We don't know who is responsible for the piece quoted above, but it definitely wasn't actor/comedian Robin Williams (of Mork & Mindy television fame). This item's debut appears to have been a 20 March 2003 posting to the USENET newsgroup alt.motorcycles.harley, and from there it was rapidly disseminated via e-mail and blogs, credited to either "author unknown" or no one at all.

The Robin Williams attribution wasn't tacked on until several weeks later, apparently because along the way the eleventh entry was dropped and a genuine Robin Williams quote appended in its place:

"The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'You want a piece of me?'" — Robin Williams.

The 'Robin Williams' attribution for the final item was interpreted as applying to the list as a whole, so now the entire piece circulates as 'the Robin Williams plan.'

7. There are a couple of good points here but not many
Edited on Sat Jul-30-05 11:26 AM by Beaver Tail
Points 1, 2 and 6 and SOME thought behind it but not alot.

For the most part this is the typical black and white extremes we usually see on the far right without consideration of the future. What these right wingers fail to see is the world is NOT black and white but many shades of grey. Buying into the “it’s either good or evil” mentality is a road block to relations with others.

Edit here

Thank thank you for posting the debunk of this.

" Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go some place else."

Hahaha..where would that "someplace else" be (at $10 a barrel)? Venezuela? They hate us anyway. Well...doesn't everybody?

14. spurious arguments
1. One does not extrapolate from a war we started on lies to say we shouldn't have fought against real enemies of the past, like the Nazis.

2. Actually, before WWII, the conservatives in our country wanted the US troops only on US soil.

3. I heard an argument as stupid as this right after 911. I asked the person if he were 100% Native American. He said no. I told him my friend Mario, who was, would gladly look after his house and belongings since Mario's 100% Native and the guy wasn't.

4. If we lived in a country like that described, I don't think anyone would come here for asylum. There would be plenty looking for asylum in other countries, though. And I would remind this bozo that some asylum seekers don't drive cabs-Albert Einstein comes immediately to mind.

5. With the fundies taking over our educational system, fewer and fewer students from overseas will want to attend our universities.

6. Drilling in Alaska is not going to solve the energy crisis any more than giving an alcoholic one more shot of tequila. A concentrated effort at renewable, alternative sources of energy is what will do it. Leave the caribou alone.

7. This makes me laugh. The person who wrote this obviously doesn't realize the US is not the only market for oil in the world. We try a stunt like that and the Saudis simply sell their oil to China and India.

8. If the US would stop supporting corrupt dictatorships maybe aid given by whomever would really reach the people. Check out www.refugeesinternational.org for what is really going on in the refugee communities around the world. If the US foreign policy was more like the policy of this wonderful group, we'd be the heros of the world.

9. I think the UN should move to some traditionally neutral country, like Switzerland, and overhaul the charter so that big nations like the US, Russia, and China, can't veto what the majority of countries want done.

10. No, we don't speak English. We speak a variation called American. And even if there were no immigrants here, people like this would still be called Ugly Americans.

And the Statue of Liberty, a gift from FRANCE, would likely cry at the cruel way America has changed. Question: can France insist we give her back?
