9-11 changed it all for many, Iraq changed it all for Clark
Perhaps Clark and his handlers should explain the "conversion" in these terms, if they haven't done so already.

As we all know, Bush, Iraq, neo-cons, pre-emption etc. seek to destroy the entire post-WWII order and the UN. That many "independents" who might have leaned towards the Repubs in days gone by based on foreign policy matters would see the folly in all of this and abandon them makes perfect sense.

1. Good point
I'm an Occam's Razor adherent, and I believe the simplest answer that explains all relevant facts is the correct one, most times. Why would it be so unusual for Clark to have been so horrified at what bushCo did re:Iraq that it caused him to cast his lot with US? :)

2. Sounds good, but
maybe Clark should just tell the unvarnished truth about his political journey. The truth would be great and a distinct contrast to the ravings of W & his gang.

3. Democrats and Republicans have mostly been the same on foreign policy
If Iraq is the new Vietnam, than Bush must be the new JFK. I remember all those wars that Reagan started, remember Clinton? Haiti right off the bat.

"Bush, Iraq, neo-cons, pre-emption etc. seek to destroy the entire post-WWII order and the UN"

Let's not forget than PNAC first presented their plans to Clinton. If you read a little further back, you would see that PNAC is no different from the propsals made by the CFR and Trilateral Commission in the 1970s.

4. Even if Iraq changed Clark's Bush support...
it still doesn't tell us what he stands for otherwise.
