Why does the BushCO/neoCON regime threaten you? |
|
Edited on Sun Jul-31-05 09:20 PM by Just Me
What does this cabal threaten, compelling you to fight?
You must name the threat if you are going to successfully defeat it.
Name this regime's threat.

|
Edited on Sun Jul-31-05 09:33 PM by marmar
Disastrous economic policies and bad trade deals that are going to sink us in a sea of debt... Constant social interference that threatens to turn this into a theocracy... Attempts to destroy free speech and civil liberties in order to get everyone to fall in line... A global domination philosophy that's going to leave us with no allies and hostile enemies... A constant-war mentality that's going to destroy our military. In short, Rome is burning!

The neocons are destroying the very core of what America stands for. The USA at its inception was a beacon for free peoples with an anti-imperialist bent, and even with the rather disgusting counterexamples of the Mexican and Indian Wars and the Spanish-American War, America still retained an anti-imperialistic, anti-militaristic inclination. WWI set us on the path to ruin (it was that mad Wilsonianism that the neocons emulate), but after WWII the US embraced the Marshall Plan-- and hastened the demise of the British and French Empires-- true to its founding premise.
The neocons are all about raw power, in contrast. They are in favor of everything the Framers were against. They want the US to control the world's oil, to launch endless wars to control natural resources, to prop up US allies for expansionist aims, to ring the world with military bases, and to bankrupt the US while turning it into a police state. They have no notion of the worth and importance of humans as individuals, seeing us only as pawns and cannon fodder in their grand plans. The neoconservatives would actually welcome a second terrorist attack on US soil, since they figure they could falsely blame it on Iran and Syria and thus start up a new unjustified war, maybe even with a draft to supply a cannon fodder.
The neocons are, in short, manipulative, bloodthirsty, warmongering (though they themselves always manage to avoid the battles), vicious, scheming bastards who control the US foreign policy establishment as well as the op-ed pages of America's major newspapers. They're massive trouble in every possible respect.

in a"communitarian" kind of corporatist feudalism, a christian or "moonie"theocracy,a technocracy, or an oligarchy or any combination of it. That is not America, and people fighting or supporting theocracy oligarchy or controlling communitarian ism or the might makes right bullshit, and all is basically a traitor to the bill of rights and the founding ideals of America.
That is why I hate the bully boy neocon assholes they are NOT about democracy ,rule of law, protecting the commonwealth, or freedom or diversity(pluralism) because they are not Americans.

Ok. of course that would effect me. But the point is, terrorism didn't start and won't end with Bush. I could get into the whole "the US is an imprealistic nation that supports everything Israel does, even when they are in gross violations of human rights," but that's another topic.
The terrorist in Park Street? That's a hypothetical. It's one I live with everyday. But I'd live with it under President Kerry, or President Clark, or whomever.
Now, I hate the man with the heat of 1000 suns. But I honestly can't point out a concrete example where he has hurt me.

Basically the current administration is a serious threat to the health of the country as a whole. Just being part of any community ties you to potential negative impact.
Not feeling threatened sounds like a luxury... possibly just different perspectives on what threatened means.

That doesn't mean I won't fight. My point was, Liberals fight for the rights of OTHER people. Even my state would never make abortion illeagle if Roe were overturned, I will fight tooth and nail to see that it doesn't happen.

14. Because they hold themselves above the law and get away with it. |
|
Because they're pathologically ignorant and sadistic people who attract to them those in this country who are equally as ignorant and pathologically sadistic, and I didn't know there were so many indecent and insane people in this nation.
Because we can look for this country to descend into brutality, cruelty and horrific violence in the not-too-distant future if the Bush regime continues to be held unaccountable for their many factual crimes against this country.
Because they haven't gotten over the faction of the Founding Fathers that won over the faction they have loyalty to -- the ones who wanted this country to run at the discretion of the aristocracy, the bankers, the corporatists.
Because too many people die at the hands of these cowards in power, and I don't want to be one of them.
Because, I'm starting to be unable to remember what it felt like to live in a free country.

|
What would you do about homelessness, crime, undernourished children and the poor schools in our country? How would you protect us from terrorist attacks? Where's Bin Ladin? How do you feel about the 1800 dead soldiers?
If you answer a single one of these questions, with an actual proposal, I'll be impressed.

41. I have young onset parkinson's diseases |
|
Edited on Sun Jul-31-05 10:44 PM by DanCa
I need stem cell research and the pro lifers are determined to stop it at all cost. I have been kicked out of my familys, church, been called an embryo farmer, and toddler killer for wanting genetic therapy.
My day "begins" at 4.oo am when I wake with a haking vomit and than and violent sea saw jerk. Then after I clear my throat I go back to bed and wake up stiff as a board around seven. It takes me an hour to move again, and I start by moving just my little pinky. After a painful morning of painful therapy and disorientation I once again start to freeze. If it's a real good day I can make it too the potty without making a mess
It's about three oclock now I try to take care of my parents house best i can and walk the dog if my hands are working and my legs are stable. Depending on the weather I take a walk around the block.
At bed time my legs run by themselves for about an hour anight before they start to stiffen again and the process repeats itself. In the mean time my hands tremor and I am ill from the 250 dollar horse pills I gotta take each month.
And on top of it all I now go the sheeple telling me how to live. I got the pro lifers telling me i shouldnt go to thier church, take my zolofft, say prayers, because I violate theier religous beliefs and want stem cell research. They want to take away from my disability insurance because they think am a slacker and say that I am an unchristian because I wont vote for bush co.
So this is how the the President terrorize me every day. Thru the chronic neurologic movement disease known as parkinsons. This is why the Bush administartion has go to go .

|
First of all, I am a parent of female children who may have their reproductive rights taken away. Secondly, as a student married to a member of the working poor, we could be sinking in a crushing sea of debt, my student loans could be cut and my daycare subsidy so I can finish my education could be eliminated. Finally, and most personally. as a person with MS their fundie neo-con stance on stem-cell research and funding cuts for research in general could put me in a wheel chair before I'm 35. All of this on top of the dangers they present to OUR country and the rest of the world!!! Other than that, they're totally harmless!:grr: :nuke:
