If pot made you stupid like alcohol does, |
|
the Repugs would have legalized it years ago.
Discuss.

Everyone i ever saw who'd been smoking was acting pretty stupid at the time...
What it does NOT do is make you mean-assed fighting angry, like Booze does...
Never knew a mean pothead, but mean drunks? Oh, boy!

3. "stupid like booze does." |
|
That includes those homicidal moments, plus long-term supidifying.
Potheads may sit around nodding to the music a lot, but on the other hand carefully controlled dosages can even have salubrious effects on understanding & creativity. I sometimes used to use pot to break writers block, & it sometimes worked. I also remember using it to help visualize relationships among variables in math, which is a field I don't exactly enjoy for its own sake.

I had a friend in college that I wouldn't go out to a bar with - alcohol turned him from a nice guy into a violent guy.
But we didn't mind when he toked!

11. Pot always made me pretty stupid |
|
That's part of the reason I quit. I think pot may actually make you slightly stupider than alcohol - with alcohol you don't think at all; with pot you think lots of stupid thoughts.

16. Working with folks on Prescription Drugs ain't always a picnic either. |
|
I know some extremely successful daily users. DR.s Lawyers Small Business Owners Corporate Ladder Scalers And LOTS Of Tradesman.
I do however feel that many folks with limited exposure to MJ have a contrary view. If they have only been around it in a 'party/slacker atmosphere', their takeaway from that experience will be a remarkably different of the view from those who know folks who do not fit the profile of "Stoner".

It's easier to grow some good pot than to make some good alcohol at home making it harder to regulate. If it was legalized the could never tax, regulate, and more importantly profit off of pot as successfully as they do with alcohol. Marijuana won't be legalized unless it gets some powerful lobbyists with deep pockets.

10. Bull! Look how Mc Corporate world has fooled you into thinking |
|
you can't grow your own food, or even cook it - If it was legal it would be "branded" packaged and advertized until you forgot it was just a plant anybody could grow. You'd be buying dirtweed hawked by celeberties in shiny packages in no time.
On the other hand wouldn't it be great if you COULD legally grow it and then go to the county fair and have a blue ribbon for the best "plate of three buds" or something....Little old ladies entering brownie contests hahahahaha

5. I know some Repukes who do smoke pot all the time |
|
2 of my acquaintances. They smoke it daily and frequently travel with bags of it on them. They vote Republican because they make quite a bit of money and like the tax cuts. I hope they like jail too and realize when it happens that they supported the fundie anti-personal freedom agenda that put them there.

6. How about a Reality Show... |
|
two houses next door to each other....Each house contains 6 humans...3 females and 3 males....the 'red' house has a full bar; the 'blue' house, a bong with some nice weed.
Let the cameras roll and just see what happens.....I bet nasty fights and tears in the red house....some good music and pizza delivery in the blue house...lots of giggles too!

Pot does make you as stupid as alcohol. It all makes you stupid. It depends on your use and when you use it.

keep both alcohol and pot away from children. A growing mind (looks like the brain continues to wire itself up to age 30) is damaged permanently by pollutants such as pot and alcohol. Lets legalize the whole shebang and put all of the money previously spent on the "war on drugs" (colossal failure anyway) into keeping the stuff away from kids and into a network of rehab centers.

all kinds of agencies, foreign policy into a social program geared towards letting kids enjoy those wonderful years of life they get to be kids. Ya it would be awesome and a site to behold. Kids wouldn't want drugs is each one had a pony!!!!

has these laid back calming effects that make people feel too relaxed goofy and peaceful to want to go to war,it removes anxiety..Pot makes people get along together and laugh or zone out and eat and maybe become paranoid and wary of'authority' figures and landlords so they bond together and look out together rather than isolating..like what our culture encorages..So Pot is against the general cultural imperatives underlying the way we are told we must be,,rather than making them belligerent, get hostile, loosen inhibitions like booze does so they'd be more inclined to fight each other. And booze will make you sick the next day and is addictive worse than pot is.Pot also has positive medicinal and psychological effects sometimes. Booze has none to speak of.

would you rather have your teenage daughter sitting in a room of several teenage guys who were high on pot or drunk on alcohol?
I would fear for her safety with the drunks. They do NOT think.
