Is anyone offended by the picture of Frist on LBN page? |
|
I don't know if this has been discussed, but the picture of Frist on the LBN page is offensive to me. Even the "thank you senator frist" offends me. So, the guy stood up for stem cells... that's good, but he's done SO MANY OTHER THINGS WRONG...
DOES HIS FACE HAVE TO APPEAR ON OUR PAGES???? UGH!
Anyone else find this offensive??

1. I thought it odd, but not offensive |
|
I sent him an email the other day, weirdly enough. I'm sure he read it too. :sarcasm:

So he found a scrap of common sense and declared his support for something we support, doesn't mean we have to kiss his stupid, thug butt. And I definitely don't want to see his face. Ever.

9. He did something right - he can be commended for that - it's temporary! |

Can't we commend someone when they do something right?

10. Not in the least - I think it's kind of funny in a way. |

He's got a big smile across his face, posted on our forum, and supporting a cause that absolutely drives the freeper crowd crazy.
What better way to help him smack his base than thanking him for doing the right thing.

11. Yeah He Is Dialing For Dollars Is All |
|
All of a sudden Frist is for stem cell research? Yeah, as long as it feeds his avaricious soul. I heard the other morning on the radio that Israel is making money hand over fist with their work on stem cells and he most likely began so see dollar signs for his HMO. As Frist has done in the past, his ilk couch their greed in religion, morals, politics, and social responsibility by pretending these things matter when in essence they are only tools to amass more wealth. It is always this way with greedy rethugs: follow the money. Money is all they worship and they will sell their souls to ensure they screw all others as long as they can rake in that corporate welfare.
My two cents

12. It's an advertisement... |
|
So it certainly doesn't offend me. It's not a position supported by this site, it's members, I assume its admins (though I wouldn't presume to speak for them), etc.
It's just advertising. What's the big deal?

being the heir apparent and leader of the gop senate and then standing in vocal opposition to the official white house stance is commendable. i mean, the guy *should* be toeing the party line and minding his p's and q's to prep for '08, but instead he has reversed himself and decided after weighing evidence and examining facts that he was previously on the wrong side of the debate. as much i as i have grit my teeth over many of his careless policy positions, it is heartening that someone so high up on the gop roster would re-examine his position and admit misjudgements. i'm not saying he's atoned and reformed, but, at least on this issue, he has done what i feel is the right thing, and his defection is truly commendable given his stature and risk of retribution from both party and fundy constituents. to boot, it does weaken the party platform that a high official and physician has recanted, and hopefully others will follow suit.
