3fer: Shrub Orgasmic Physical; Recess Appt =Failure & Dictatorsh; HACKETT
Edited on Mon Aug-01-05 12:37 PM by UTUSN
* Media orgasms over Shrub's physical. Btw, his Navy doctor looked like he was pretty out of shape himself (looking for pic). The first thing I heard this morning was Today's Ann CURRY breathlessly reading the statistics of Shrub's "excellent" physical---191 pouds, SIX FEET (I *know* he's FIVE-&-change), low body fat, blah blah. Then now LIMBOsevic is having an orgasm over Shrub's physical condition. Uh, what does THAT have to do with the quality of anything? A polio-stricken man in a wheelchair could "run" rings around this doofus.

* Recess appointment equals Shrub's FAILURE and his ANTI-DEMOCRACY. I *know* that this mechanism is Constitutionally provided, but the purpose was to fill an emergency vacancy, not to RAM an unqualified specimen down our throats. What it shows is a "leader" who FAILED to, first, pick somebody qualified, and second, FAILED in the skills to work with elected officials, even when his party had the majority, fergudnesssakes!

* As for HACKETT. I hope it's only me as a wet blanket, but I've got the feeling that we might be WELLSTONEd on this. What little info has sifted here is that it's a Repuke stronghold and that the dirty Repukes are pulling out all stops to "bury" him. I *so* hope I'm wrong.

12. Like a Nurse Weighing 200 pounds Telling ME to Lose Weight
Years ago I was reporting back to my doctor after a trip to the cardiologist. He asked what the cardio dude had said. I said, "He said I need to lose weight, but his nurse standing next to him weighed 200 pounds." He said, "Well, there are some things we can't control."

But we must give this Navy doc a break. He's an admiral, meaning he can have somebody ELSE's fingers for the digital exams.

3. Socialise it. Nationalise your medical infrastructure.
We did. It's great.

5. According to corporate apologists:
Socialism = Communism.

I know it sounds retarded, but that's the argument against health-care.

7. Riiiiight ... so death and illness is better than a hint of socialism?
Who knows what awful evil might occur if the profit margin was removed from medicine.

The US would benefit for a swift and radical series of nationalisations.

9. We already have nationalization.
Nationalization of risk, privatization of profit is how it works here.

14. Britain has private insurance & health care
Unfortunately, anything that is proposed in the US that includes maintaining private insurance or health care sends the left into fits of hysteria. It would be helpful if Europeans would inform US citizens of the WHOLE health care system. Maybe then we could make some progress.

4. Guess they measured him in his platforms.
Mitterand's doctor hid his cancer for years, so I'll take this report with a grain of salt. There's *something* wrong with his saggy-assed face.

Hackett's opponent is genuinely looney-tunes. If she wins, this is Bizarro world.
