17. LOL! Ok Trotsky, so what is the grade between 3.33 and 3.66? |
|
LOL! That's funny.
If I remember correctly. A B+ is still 3.0 and an A- is 4.0.

5. an A is a 3.6 or better |
|
so I would say a B+ is somewhere in the range of 3.4-3.5 if they have minuses

6. I'd say 3.01 - 3.50 = B+ |
|
3.51 - 3.99 = A- 4.0 = A
But that's just me. I'm no school admin, and don't play one on TV either.

a 'B' starts at 3.0, so B+ is probably 3.25-3.5

I am filling out an application for Mcdonalds right now so I can get out of the nightmare of a restaurant they call A&W.

13. It depends on how many points are in the system |
|
There are 4 point and there are 5 point systems.
Many colleges and universities don't report pluses and minuses which is why most of the academic community simply talks about a numeric score.
And of course that has nothing to say about grade inflation and variation between schools. A 3.5 at one school doesn't necessarily mean the same thing with respect to student mastery or ability in a subject as a 3.5 does at another school.

21. Here's the scale most US colleges and universities use. |
|
Many schools still use a +/- system for GPA.
Based on a 4.0 scale: A = 4.0 A- = 3.7 B+ = 3.3 B = 3.0 B- = 2.7 C+ = 2.3 C = 2.0 C- = 1.7 D+ = 1.3 D = 1.0 D - = .7

22. Depends on your school |
|
Edited on Mon Aug-01-05 02:00 PM by livetohike
Many, many years ago (1970) at my high school, a B+ was a 93%. 94% was an A-.
So to make it equivalent to a G.P.A. I would say a B+ = a 3.75 with an A average = 4.0 (perfect).
