Hackett's latest odds of winning? Anyone heard any numbers?
I've heard both positive and negative buzz on and off all day which has me very curious. I can't help but think that if he can pull this off, our chances for an election upset next year might look pretty good (forgetting Diebolt for a minute).

1. From a volunteer I heard that Republican polling now has
the race even.

Hackett is not doing any polling.

2. That's good,,, IMHO Repugs will not turn out like Dems
for this election. Her "Marines are not fit for Congress" IMHO will hurt her. IMHO, a lot of Repugs will say to themselves, Repugs always win so let some other person vote for him.

4. Let's not get too excited -- it may be just a rumor
But being hopeful is okay by me! :) We could use good news this week...

9. Not a rumor. The volunteer I spoke with today is
a DFA officer. He also said that they need people for the GTV knock and drag. Tomorrow.

If you can make it, please do.

I have a union function tomorrow. We are going to talk about the AF of L/CIO issues.

6. CW: "You have to run twice"
I think Hackett's chances in Ohio2 are slimmer this time around than we'd hope, but he'd have a pretty good shot at winning any statewide office the next time around -- guv, senator, you name it. The republican machine in Ohio is formidable, but it's also crumbling, thanks to the trashing of the state pension fund by Mssrs. Taft & Noe.

10. Individual polls are pretty much meaningless. It is the trends
that are important.

Who has the momentum now?

11. How do we find out what odds the bookmakers are giving?
I've never been involved in any kind of gambling so I wouldn't know where to look. But I've heard that there is betting on everything.
