So... Is The "Loyal Opposition" Gonna Bend Over For Roberts Too ???
Fuck it.

What are we saving the filibuster for now anyway?

Bush is shoving it right up our collective wahzoos, and daring us to do something about it. I say it's time to fire back, full volley!

1) Dems announce that they had fully anticipated cooperating with the WH in a thorough and dignified confirmation process for Judge Roberts.

2) They state that because of this administration's secrecy, and abuse of power maneuvers, topped by the unwise recess appointment of Bolton to the UN after refusing to release HIS papers, that they will filibuster the Robert's appointment until any and all papers requested by the Senate on Roberts are handed over. This appointment is for a lifetime after all.

3) After the rePukes and Admin throw their fits and continue to refuse the release of said documents, they move publicly to destroy part of the institution of the Senate by nuking the filibuster.

4) When Roberts appears before the Senate Judiciary Committee, NOT ONE DEMOCRAT ATTENDS! When they hold a vote on the Senate floor for final confirmation, NOT ONE DEMOCRAT ATTENDS! Roberts ascends to the SCOTUS with ONLY Republican votes.

I know that Senators will want to register there 'No' votes, but I think empty chambers will speak volumes more.

Let the world see what the Republicans have become, and let Roberts, Bush's first SC Justice appointment, be the first sitting justice of the SCOTUS to have NO SUPPORT of half the country.

If we're going down dammit, go down swinging!!!

Would love to hear alternate suggestions...

1. I changed
Go Green!

Been a Green since 1995 when I first learned of them but voted Dem. Thanks to DLC, Dems are too weak to stand.
