Unfinished Symphony

I saw this documentary on the Sundance Channel early this morning. I plain forgot about it being on but saw it. It's about the antiwar protest's from the Vietnam vets of 1971. It shows them doing Paul Revere's ride backwards and ending up in Lexington. There they do staged moc events of what goes on in war with the people of 'Nam. They then showed them sleeping on the knoll where the British soliders fought us and they were all arrested. According to the film 400 people were arrested and that's the greatest number of people that town has ever had arrested. The soliders all told they were either Paul Revere or someone else but then of course gave their real information. The camera was following them and they showed John Kerry! At first I wasn't sure if it was him but I recognize his facial features anywhere. They surely haven't changed. :) Then they showed the soliders in DC and showed Kerry's testimony before the foreign relations committee. How funny (in a good way) how he works for this group now. :) Something I wonder is how come Kerry was chosen? He seems to be very good at public speaking and making speeches. Then it shows them in Concord and they're walking around and people are waving peace signs and people are handing out soda's and chips to them. The person with the camera interviews Kerry and they ask how the people have been responding to them and he says they've all been very nice and giving them soda and the like. Even when he's not doing any type of public speaking he talks with such intelligence and grace and the words are carefully chosen to make an impact on your life. They also of course throughout the film interview some other soliders and all. It's a really great documentary and I encourage anybody who has the Sundance Channel to check this film out. I think it's taken from "Winter Solider" but I'm not sure. There was something about it in the credits. In the credits they also showed what Kerry was doing now (this was made in 2001) and another guy is a Congressman. The next filming is Wednesday at 6am est. Watching this film you gain tons of respect for these men. All of them stud for the truth and they weren't afraid. It only makes me wonder what will happen when men from Iraq come back? Will they spout the rightwing crap? Or will they be like the Iraq Veterans against War group and Paul Hackett? It will be interesting what happens... This whole Iraq ordeal is definietly Vietnam all over again.
