USA & Iran are run by religious Mullahs...
I never realized the similarity between USA and Iran before. Both are run by religious Mullahs.

God help us all... no pun intended.

WASHINGTON (Aug. 2) - President Bush said Monday he believes schools should discuss ''intelligent design'' alongside evolution when teaching students about the creation of life.

During a round-table interview with reporters from five Texas newspapers, Bush declined to go into detail on his personal views of the origin of life. But he said students should learn about both theories, Knight Ridder Newspapers reported.

''I think that part of education is to expose people to different schools of thought,'' Bush said. ''You're asking me whether or not people ought to be exposed to different ideas, the answer is yes.''

1. So let me get this straight
We need to expose children to a thoroughly confirmed scientific theory and an inherently non-verifiable crackpot myth and let them choose which one is better? Do we let them choose whether two plus two equals four or five?

This kind of Choose-Your-Own-Science is exactly the kind of human-centric relativism that the Right claims to abhor, but they cozy up to it quickly enough when it suits them.

And here's another thing--we want to give them access to two "competing" theories of biological diversity because students should be permitted to choose for themselves, right?

So I guess that Dubya will next endorse a sex education program that includes an honest discussion of both heterosexuality and homosexuality, because students should be permitted to choose for themselves, right?

What an anti-intellectual asshole.

2. Actually, what's really funny about your comment is that:
while bush is bending over backwards to prevent religious extremists from taking over in Iraq, he's doing somersaults to make sure the religious extremists take over this country.
