...support for Dean. I fundamentally distrust the notion of giving the reins of civilian power to a career militarist. I FIRMLY believe that if the founding fathers had forseen the kind or professional military we have today they'd have made generals ineligible to run for the presidency.

Furthermore, Clark's political history is way too right-wing for me-- he was virtually indistinguishable from the rest of the militarist wingnuts until his recent "conversion" to liberalism. Remember-- this "conversion" is from a man for whom the term "tactics" has operational meaning.

I do not trust Clark. Perhaps if he puts his money where his mouth his and repudiates his own political history, provides us with good explantions for both his prior stances and his new ones, and gives good evidence that his new convictions are not ephemeral, then maybe. But not now.

I tend to agree in principle but, like you, I will wait to see what Clark has to say for himself as time passes. I truly do hope that the Democrats will nominate a candidate who offers a different vision and not just a different idea of how to approach doing the same kinds of things that have always been done.

Wondering... would you vote third party, write-in, or just not vote? Or some other choice that I haven't thought of?

Clark has a brain, and genuine charm (unlike the fake charm the whore media TELLS us w has), and a real record of accomplishment.

Voting 3rd party is NOT an option - although it would be tempting.

I hate to say it, but there's no way I can vote for someone who's still pushing this war as an important part of the "war on terra."

But, I don't see any way in Hades he's going to get the nomination, and I'll be happy to support any of the others. Any of them.

It's hard to say what I'd do. I'd just vote for Worker's World just to make a statement or abstain. I do not believe that Lieberman is any better than Bush. Bush went to war against Iraq for business interests, whereas Lieberman has personal religious interests that would come in conflict with his Middle East policy. He, in my opinion, would be far more likely to go after Syria and screw up any possibility of the US being accepted as a legitimate peace broker in Israel/Palestine.

This constant acrimony and candidate bashing between the 2 camps is ridiculous. After watching the debates, I'd happily vote for any of the candidates before considering voting for the unelected fraud.
