4. I kinda' like the segments...unfortunately |
|
they don't have a program guide to let you know what's coming up.

5. Yeah that "Pod" is getting old |
|

She should have been on a segment they could call "Goddie Hotties"
Maybe if we can use podcast to subscribe to the pods, we'd be better able to consume the content we wanted. Oh wait they dont have an rss feed yet do they? ;-) (intentional confusion aka synergy with the iPod)
Give it time and measure your expectations against what Gore said it would in fact be, a youth lifestyle viewer-controlled commerical network.

No one will get in until a couple of years from now, when it will become the format all stations imitate.

8. It is way too early to tell-- |

I am an oldie, but I can see how he might just get those 20/30 somethings thinking. From what I have seen so far, there have been some very good segments--one example was about a 20 year old cute blonde gal Baptist minister who said in a sermon, among other good things, "Whom would Jesus bomb?"---exactly NO ONE." There seems to be a definite undercurrent of liberal thought, but they need to first get an audience. I expect it to take a while---geez, cut a little slack folks, Rome wasn't built in a day. They are making it more interactive, and there are going to be a lot of segments volunteered by the audience--another way to draw interest. It may just turn out to be a very good idea. I am trying to think positively about it and give it a chance. I DO wish we had an alternative news station with big bucks behind it---and we know there are a lot of celebrity dems out there with the big bucks to do it. CURRENT was never intended as a liberal news forum, as far as I know. Rather, I think it was thought of as a way to reach the future of this country--open up their minds to a more liberal way of thinking that would transfer into a political way of thinking---my hope, anyway.
