No doubt about it, Randi Rhodes Rocks! |
|
She's such a passionate spokesman for our cause. I've grown to really appreciate what she does on a daily basis. I've even grown fond of her Brooklyn/Queens nasal twang. For those of you who can't stand her style, think about 18 months ago, when the airwaves were nothing but right wing hate speech and demonization of liberals. I, for one, enjoy the humor and sincerity she radiates in her daily broadcasts. Anyone else feel likewise?

I love this broad. And I know she would take that as a compliment.

3. To me, Randi is ... the Goddess |
|
I go into serious withdrawal when she's on vacation. With everything that's going on in the world today, I thank God I have her to help me sort it all out (connect the dots).

She was quite unhappy for a while and it showed. Now she shines.

10. As a long time listener |
|
I think she's just as good as ever. I don't know how long you've been listening, but check out some of the old archives at whiterosesociety. I've been in love with her since day one. I'll admit that she handles some situations in a way that aggravates me and may turn off some listeners, but we're all human and all different. She's no more perfect than I am, so I cut her some slack. The important thing is she's honest, passionate, intelligent, and entertaining. I couldn't ask for anything more to satisfy me. You may be seeing the problems she faced going to AAR from WJNO. That was a lot of stress and she didn't get treated very well. It took it's toll and the first few months especially were tough and it showed. I think she handled it well. Remember that most of the people at AAR were not involved in broadcasting before and the grunts (engineers and production people)were working in a new environment that wasn't as organized as it could have been.
I don't discount what you said, I know how tough it was at the beginning of AAR. I just wanted to give a perspective from a long time listener that has some experience in support and production.

Brilliant, articulate and genuine. Loud, brash and sometimes rude, but so what!

I've been listening to her since she was a rock radio DJ in NYC back in the 80s. :-)
