Their results are in PDF format, which means a LOT of overhead for the server.
Many news sites are using fancy "interactive" setups which is also resulting in NOBODY being able to get information.
Idiots!
ALSO, they are using ASP, which can cause problems for non-Microsoft browsers.

...I wouldn't be surprised to see a few of those websites go down once or twice tonight.
Which is not to say that things aren't being "adjusted", but website availability is not the best means by which to measure such events.
