1. The Cinci suburbs are wealthy |
|
while the rural counties are poor, some even are Appalacian. More wealthy than poor though since Hamilton Co and Warren Co are the suburban counties and have about 60% of the district.

2. The poorest counties went Hackett |
|
That includes Brown, Adams, Pike and Scioto, the rural Appalachian Counties. Hamilton County (Cincinnati) and its nearest counties, Clermont and Warren, went Schmidt.

Pike & Scioto 52 - 48 Bush/Kerry. Adams & Brown 64/36. What's different about them, including voting machines, do you know?

I knew that Pike and Scioto counties would be very close in 2004 -- which they were. The margin of difference in those two counties was the dogged effort of some fundie churches to send their folks out to vote for W and against gays. But it was damned close.
I had expected the same types of numbers from Adams and Brown counties (especially Adams), and was shocked to see the final numbers from them. Believe me, it should have been closer, but since these are poor, rural counties with not many votes to speak of, I don't think it (the lopsided vote) was ever investigated. Frankly, I think the GOP fraud machine snuck by us in those counties and they figured no one would notice. Well, I noticed but I'm nobody, so perhaps this election will make someone, ANYONE in the Democratic Party realize there were some shady dealings going on in certain rural counties of SE Ohio! I've been screaming and yelling about SE Ohio being ripe for Dems for years now and suddenly its becoming -- I hope -- very clear I wasn't just blowing smoke.

very white, very conservative, and comfortable. They are filled with Stepford Wives.....it's scarey out there. And the men seem to be robotic.....I have to get out of here.....QUICK!
