Let's put this in perspective (Hackett Loss)
Edited on Tue Aug-02-05 10:10 PM by TrueAmerican
The mass media will be fed the Rethugican talking points and they will declare once again Democrats can't win an election and this is a clear mandate for Bush and his winning policies. Don't fool yourselves, it's going to be business as usual for the media whores. It doesn't matter if he lost by 20,000 votes, the message will be is "Democrats are the party of losers"

1. Screw the media. We need to rebuild the election system from the
ground up. Transparency and accountability fought for and won at the state and local level.

2. Considering that district went 70-30 Republican last time
And it looks like it's going to finish up 52-48 or so, I'd say that when Democrats fight, they gave a chance to win. We sure as hell know that when we roll over, we lose.

A new wind is blowing, according to the Daily Kos, and I think it's true.

3. The MSM can stuff it
If every district in the country swings 20 points to the Democrats in 2006, I don't really give a crap what they say.

9. Northern suburbs of Cinci
as Republican as it gets. This has been TAFT country since the days of William Howard Taft.

Schmitt ran well behind Portman and well behind Bush.
