I'm just making the observation that Rush brought attention to us recently and there seem to be a bunch of brand new posters posting flamebait.

1.avoidance of freeper communities

3. stay home and read 1000+posts at DU in non-bashing threads

as all the flame-bait attack threads is the fact that for every one of those threads, somebody else creates a NEW thread commenting or complaining about them, and hence, not a single fucking thing of any REAL importance stays on the front page of GD more than 5 minutes.

Do you think that the ability to begin threads and initiate discussion should be removed from anyone whose post count is below a certain magic number? Do you think the fact that more people are discovering these forums, likely as a result of being recently inspired to become more politically aware and active by a candidate such as Dean or Clark, is a bad thing?

Just a few things to think about...after all, everyone here had a low post count at one time or another. These members with low posting numbers are newly energised by politics, and (like many here with much greater longevity on these boards) feel the need to convert all us poor benighted individuals who haven't seen the light as they have. I'd cut them some slack.

I really do think that new blood is important here (heck, I'm kinda new blood myself). I was just making an observation about the number of ugly threads today and by whom the majority of them had been started.
