Man Found Dead at Midtown Park (KC)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police are investigating the suspicious death of a Kansas City man at a Midtown park early Tuesday morning.
Emergency crews were called to Roanoke Park at 7 a.m. after a man was assaulted. His body was found on the ground next to a picnic table, along with a backpack and his wallet. He was rushed to a hospital and died.
Officials identified the victim as 52-year-old Timothy "Michael" Supple, who lived in the park.

Mike was my friend. This was very shocking news. He was apparently beaten to death.

2. So sorry to hear about
your friend. Any ideas why anyone would do this?

Where is Roanoke Park? I am just not familiar enough with KC to know.

4. It's not far from the Flea Market
Just west of there.

Evl lives nearby.

It is the neatest park. Just beautiful.

8. Thanks.
I was sort of by there yesterday moving my son (a complete story of it's own). Crime is up in a lot of places these days.

6. No idea at all.
He was no threat to anyone.
The park is usually safe. It has a community center, tennis courts and a playground.

9. I am so sorry.
I lost a friend a long time ago to violence. She was raped and bludgeoned to death, she was 16. There is something really disturbing when a friend dies, especially when the cause is violence.

Take care of yourself. I will be thinking of you.

3. Oh evl
That is so sad. There isn't much crime in that park, is there? It seems like such a quiet area.

WTF is going on in this town? The crime rate is going through the roof.

7. Crime usually rises when the economy sucks.
But this just seems so random and brutal.

10. I am so sorry
How horrible that he died this way. How horrible that there are people walking among us who could do something like that.

I pray that he was aware, as he was being taken to the hospital, that he was being taken care of by people who cared about him and were trying to help him.
