Yeah, don't you remember Matthew 19:56?
"And when thou formest a government, thou shalt have three branches of government: legislative, executive, and judicial."

7. And don't forget this part... |

Give those things unto God that are God's and those things that are Caesar's unto Caesar. But for those things that are neither God's nor Caesar's, thou may keep them, for yea, they be deductible.

All law comes from the ten commandments. Laws just didn't exist before Moses.

them intelligently. And, lo, the angel of the Lord shall inhabit the flasks and the baking soda volcanoes, for the Lord trusteth not a man learned in the ways of nature, but honoreth a flim-flam artist with a Southern accent who dost preach to the heathen while he also-est defileth the Cub Scouts and altar boys, For great is god's love that he rejoiceth in the countless deaths in Iraq for it doth glorify his servant on Earth, the Bushman." - BS 12:31-35

10. Well, Jesus was a liberal and he believed in trying to limit the power |
|
of authoritarian governments (e.g. Rome). He was a rebel, albeit a peaceful rebel. He fought against the hypocrisy of the power structure of his time (same could be said of our founding fathers). He of course believed in helping the sick and poor (something the fundies of our time could care less about).
It seems to me that these guys are NOT talking about the part of the Bible that Jesus is in. They seem heavily focused on the nasty part of the Bible (the old testament).
Also, many of our founding fathers were not Christian. Many were deists (they believed in a creator and nothing more....they believed after God created us, he left us alone). They thought Jesus a philosopher. So, I wouldn't say the constitution is based on scripture. They were the 'liberals' of their time, and deeply mistrusted the fundamentalists (puritans) of their time, and so they inserted the separation of Church and state into the bill of rights.
These guys want to claim the constitution so they can undo it.
