What's going on with her? Viable? Nuts? Haven't heard anything for a long time; just wondering. Was reminded by Bucky's reply to a post earlier.
Of course, that would violate Bill Maher's new rule that no one from Texas can be president...

Senator Byrd is over 80 years old -- 87 years old as I recall.
The right good Governor can do politics if she wanted to.

3. She doesn't even live in Texas anymore |

at least last time I heard. She was living up north somewhere (New York or Boston, maybe?) and loving it.

I think she's out of running for office. I haven't seen anything of a public appearance in a long time. Wonder what's up. She's terrific.

7. Anne Richards not in Texas? |
|
Is that even legal?
Can Texas even be Texas without Anne Richards?

6. She's 72, has osteoperosis (wrote a book on it), and is a |

high paid lobbyist right now. She endorsed Dean, then stumped for Kerry, and was mentioned by some as a potential running mate. Don't know if Kerry considered her.
In 2008 she'd be 75. That's up in Reagan territory, age-wise.
I'd love to see her run for Senator or governor, but haven't heard any inkling that she'd be interested.

They still want to blame the school finance debacle on her...yet we have had 2 Rep governors since her (including Bush) and they haven't fixed it yet...they'd rather just keep blaming her.
