Hannity & Colmes Snubs US Troops killed from Ohio
Edited on Thu Aug-04-05 08:14 AM by Tim4319
Their priorities are in the right place!

<<snip>>
Instead, more than half the show was devoted to the case of the missing, telegenic, Natalee Holloway, and the separate case of a missing newlywed on a cruise.

"Regular guy" Sean Hannity squinted with concern and sympathy for the obviously well-to-do Jug Twitty, whose stepdaughter, Natalee Holloway, disappeared while partying with some boys on an under-chaperoned vacation. As usual, there was plenty of air time to criticize the Aruban government and analyze how it could have and should have conducted its investigation into her disappearance.

But Hannity did not show a scintilla of interest in the grieving families of Brook Park, Ohio who sacrificed their offspring for their country. Nor has he seemed to care about what the US government might have done or could do in the future to protect other families' sons and daughters.

3. Aruba government failed to properly nanny Americans
and that causes death.

Bush fails to supply armor and that causes death.

So supposedly conservative Hannity flogs Aruba for not taking care of our citizens late at night outside of clubs and telling them to avoid strange men's cars, while the people Bush has direct responsibility for, as commander......

Well, you can't talk about Bush at all anymore without criticizing him, so Hannity doesn't.

5. No "squinting with concern and sympathy" for our troops from Hannity
that's typical.. none of those right wing hacks give a shit about our troops.. and none of them know what it's like (or care to know what it's like) to fight in combat.

7. I noticed this already

Hannity has a specific strategy that entails above all ignoring deaths in Iraq. On Hannity's website I did something that goes way beyond what they're accustomed to yesterday, and actually posted a pic of a badly injured Iraqi child. I cut and run after that. But I think they need to be reminded often.

11. When they slam
the Aruban authorities for not solving the mystery of the missing girl, (We know that the US has NO unsolved crimes on the books) does anyone ever ask Joe why the US authorities never solved the mystery of the death of the woman who died in his office?

I remember rightwing outrage over the deaths of soldiers in Somalia. The outrage over Clinton, the claims that they didn't get what they needed from the Clinton administration.

I also remember a story a few months ago about the troops having to use cardboard soldiers to fool the enemy because they didn't have enough troops. Yet, the same people have nothing at all to say about the Bush administration spending billions of tax payer dollars on mercenaries, on Halliburton etc. while the troops are still under-equipped with their families having to send them what they need.

And last night I saw a talking head claim that Iran is an 'imminent threat', that the president of Iran was a hostage taker and a murderer (didn't the CIA just say this was not the same person?) and that we are close to when Iran can reach Israel, Europe and the US with nuclear warheads. The smiling anchor never asked him why anyone should believe a word he said since we heard it all before and what did he think of all those dead Iraqis and US troops because we believed the lies we were told?

I wonder will Bush supporters fall for this again? The only words he didn't use were 'mushroom cloud'. R.I.P to those who have died for this lying administrations war for profit.

Bush just said that 'we should be proud of those who died in Iraq and Afghanistan should be proud for fighting the War On Terror' as he vacations in Crawford. He didn't single out the Ohio troops, but connected their deaths, erroneously, to the War on Terror.
