2. It lead off the CBS News..
... this looks like some serious shit - they said the leaker could be looking at 10 years. Somebody's going to get hung out to dry.

10. What did the President know?
And when did he know it?

The story isn't the two leakers. The story is the Washington Post leaker. He isn't the only one who knows who the criminals are. There is a cover up in place. He felt he could leak it without them knowing who did it. This logically means that many many people know who broke the law, and they are covering it up.

and if anyone talks about WHAT was compromised (not just her name but an intel network tied to tracking WMD!!!!!!!!!) They seem to be missing that whoever did the leak - compromised national security and the admin's war on terrorism.

I think you're spot on with this point, and a little repetition (in the current candidate-bashing atmosphere) doesn't hurt a bit.

31. Here's how you push it:
FIRST THING IN THE MORNING (since this was written late Sunday afternoon, California time), CALL YOUR CONGRESSMAN/WOMAN AND SENATORS!

One poster here pointed out that the White House will certainly do everything to sweep this under the rug, and with ashcroft in the driver's seat at DOJ, it could well happen. BUT...

Not if we help stir the pot! EVERYBODY!!!! TOMORROW!!!! CALL YOUR REPS!!!!!

If you don't know the number, call the TOLL FREE Capitol Hill Switchboard:

1 (800) 648 - 3516

1 (800) 839 - 5276

and ask them to connect you to WHATEVER OFFICE YOU LIKE. Call your reps, and then maybe if you have time, call somebody else's reps!

Or see www.congress.org - the directory part should give you the local AND Washington office numbers of everybody on the Hill.

This is how to stoke the flames! If it's the people's job to keep this going, then so be it.

7. Oh yeah
It is about f**king time that the media gets on a feeding frenzy that doesn't involve the Big Dog's penis.

The legs are growing on this bad boy. Rightfully so. If somebody in the Clinton White House pulled this crap, they would have been rightfully tarred and feathered.

Kick it Dano.

Just kidding. :)

It's now mainstream boys and girls! The house of cards is coming down. If it's Rove, look for it to be handled quickly and quietly as to avoid as much political fallout as possible.

Bush will say something like, "we've cleaned out the bad guys and there's nothing else to see here, keep moving".

16. I watched Wilson carefully and patiently work this into the size it is now
Very articulate, very friendly and warm and smart. Has no partisan
edge to him, in the sense he's looking for the 'other side's blood'
even though he is. Comes across good, credible.

You can also see his vengence and anger in some settings, like with
Jon Stewart.

He wants blood. His wife can't travel aboard now. It will be too
dangerous. Her life is cut very shallow now. He wants someone to pay
and with him involved, someone will.

Mark my words.

It disappeared for two weeks and now it's back. That tells me that it's not going to go away.

Very similar to the 9-11 widows. I hope to hear from them again, too.

33. One thing to remember
The Watergate break in was on the fringes of hot news a year before it broke big time.

I'm thinking this could do the same. This is a very serious offense. Roguevalley hit on an important thing. Wilson is pissed but is very calculative. I'll go even farther. The retired CIA workers are livid and I don't imagine the current workers are too happy about the turn of events. What goes around comes around.

36. Did you notice that Wilson was scrolling through TPM?
During the story on ABC, Wilson was shown at a computer scrolling through a website - it sure looked like Talking Points Memo (J. Marshall), who has really been on this story. Wilson's hope to see Rove leaving the White House in handcuffs is also mine.

1. If we had even a halfway competent media, this would be Watergate to the 100th power by now.

2. There is no second point, I just want to see this bumped above all the stupid god damn Clark and Dean threads that are filling up the front page.

The AG and Mueller have won against its agents in the past (Rowley & Kenneth Williams come to mind), and I'll bet they'll win this one. This is the News Media's and the public's fight to keep this alive now.

and they fucked w/ his wife. He's smart and he's been in the business for a loooong time w/ obvious deep Company connections. The CIA has now picked sides, and they've lined up against the admin., that is now obvious.

40. This is not about Rove
I believe Salin has been articulating this quite well. So let me jump over there too.

This is about willfully compromising national security for political gain. A poster mentioned that Wilson't wife can't travel overseas any longer. I don't mean to be impolite, but this is not about her travel plans. Or catching Rove in a lie.

This is about the White House protecting KNOWN traitors for MONTHS and DELIBERATELY compromising national security.

41. The report in this AM's Wash post says
"Yesterday, a senior administration official said that before Novak's column ran, two top White House officials called at least six Washington journalists and disclosed the identity and occupation of Wilson's wife."

The new piece of information is apparently this "senior administration official" who has alluded to (has he/she named them?) the "two top White House officials". I think I've seen it speculated elsewhere that this "administration official" is NOT in the WH.
