Should we rebuild Iraq or pullout completely?

1. pull out, assist in rebuilding... but not control it

If we pulled out, they'd stop sabotaging the oil pipelines, which would allow their government to hire contractors to rebuild.

We must pull out before any rebuilding will be accomplished, IMHO.

2. We need to do both

We need to pull out and we need to fund the reconstruction.

Bombing Iraq was not justified. Apparently the 13 years of sanctions, or a major portion of them, were not justified.

We have conducted an unjust war and reparations are in order.

Nothing says we have to be the ones to run it, post-war. Give the money to the UN and GET THE HELL OUT at the first practical moment.

4. The U.N. must be involved with us

The command structure for restoring peace in Iraq must involve the U.N. and especially other Arab states. The United States still would provide most of the manpower but the era of dictating the nature of the interm government would be over. Also i would open the reconstruction bids to our former friends France and Russia who are owed a lot of debt by the former regieme. Since I don't own stock in truly evil companies I would feel much better that a European company is making money off a bad situation instead of Dick Cheney.

and hand off authority to the U.N. with no strings attached.

Really, we do need to pull our troops out and hand it over to the U.N. but still maintain our responsibility to the Iraqi people. Right now our presence only makes things worse.
