Sort of like Bush and Cheney. Bush and bin Laden are the poster boys, while Cheney and al Zahawri are actually calling the shots.

Ayman al Zahawri had a long history with the Muslim Brotherhood before he hooked up with bin Laden. OTOH, before he hooked up with al Zahawri in Afghanistan, bin Laden just sort of 'hung out' at home and New York.
