Ordinance from Iran intercepted in Iraq??
CBS evening news just mentioned (while referring to last January's report that IED's were getting stronger) that there had been an intercept of explosives (strong & sophisticated) from Iran that had found their way into Iraq.. The way they said it made it sound like it had happened some months (or weeks) ago.

Does anyone remember this? Or is it part of the Iran drumbeat?

1. I heard that tonight on CBS
Never heard a word about it before.

Interestingly enough, the same reporter who said that also admitted this when speaking about the relative casualties on 'each side' this week: "It's clear that neither side can defeat the other militarily."

In an occupation scenario, that's as good as admitting you've lost. The Iraqi guerillas don't need to win. They only need to "not lose".

3. Not So Easy.
But then there is the question: Why would Iran, which is ruled by the Shiite's be giving ordnance to the Sunni/Baathist/or pro-Saddam
insurgents.

Especially when their own man Al Sistani has a pretty good grip on most of the Shiite groups in the current government.
