I was on news duty at the radio station that day so wasn't in the room where he shot himself, tho many of my friends were. However, I got an almost immediate phone interview with his press secy -- Spike Lukens, I think he was -- and was the first on the ABC national radio news with a report. Never forget it.

I have that album and being from PA, I had heard about the Bud Dwyer connection to that song (wasn't sure if it was real or rumor)

I wondered if anyone else knew about that song. Apparently you do...or your subject line is an odd coincidence to their song.
