HEHE...NOVAK suspended treated like a child...hehehe
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - CNN issued a public rebuke to syndicated columnist and political analyst Robert Novak and asked him to "take some time off" after he uttered a profanity and walked off the set during a live broadcast on Thursday.

The on-air outburst by Novak, 74, came when the conservative commentator was interrupted by liberal political strategist James Carville during a discussion of the upcoming U.S. Senate race in Florida on CNN's "Inside Politics" show.

"Let me finish what I was going to say, James, please. I know you hate to hear me," Novak said as he and Carville jousted over the Senate election chances of Republican U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris (news, bio, voting record).

5. I always thought he and Carville were friends despite
coming from opposite ends of the political spectrum.

One would think they would understand each other by now - Novak has to know Carville is called the "Ragin Cajun" for a reason - he's loud and interrupts - that's his style - Novak is should expect this.

I'm an independent and have always enjoyed watching both Carville and Novak.

I think Novak is older now and maybe stressed out about the Plame thing. He probably needs some rest. I hope he feels better.

8. I always liked Novak, too.
I always thought he came across smarter than he was, and his views have always been weak, but he always had a warm charm. He's under a lot of stress for a lot of reasons, and at 74, it can't be easy on him.

Not saying he hasn't earned what's happening to him. He's caused a lot of grief with what he's done. I'm just saying I'm not enjoying watching the self-destruction.

It is not like we misunderstood what he did.
He behaved abomidably...plain and simple.

15. Don't forget
Novak is a TRAITOR and has committed one of the worst crimes against our country possible.

No compassion here. Novak has every bit of it coming to him and more - he reaps what he has sewn.

you don't agree with on every issue, but is still someone you enjoy talking to.

Novak has always been one of the conservatives I can actually listen to and not want to punch in the mouth (unlike Hannity, for example). Novak isn't just an entertainer - he truly believes what he believes. He's more of a true conservative, i.e. small government, non-interventionist, etc.

As long as a person isn't a bigot or a bully - I can listen to their side of the argument and consider their pov, even if I don't agree with it.

13. he used to be a bit popular here
People used to do a lot threads about who everyone's favorite conservative was. He was always one of the most mentioned.

17. Liked Novak?
He's a nasty, drunken, obnoxious ass hole. I've never found him "intelligent" in any sense.

He deserves every bit of scorn he's recieved the last several years.

16. Fuck Novak
I wouldn't feel bad if he keels over tomorrow. He's a traitor. Hang the motherfucker for all I care.

And CNN can go fuck itself. They should have fired him immediately.

14. Not to be too suspicious or anything,
but doesn't CNN save itself a lot of embarrassment by having Novak gone? Correspondent Ed Henry was about to confront him about his Plame story. How does that make CNN look? -- they kept Novak on the air in spite of his treasonous act and subsequent lies about it.

From Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Novak
Henry later noted that Novak had left the set moments before he was going to ask Novak about his role in the leaking of CIA officer Valerie Plame's identity. Close examination of the videotape reveals a copy of the American edition of Who's Who on Henry's desk, possibly indicating that Henry intended to challenge Novak's claim to have used it to discover Plame's identity.
