I think he really was offended by Carville's personal attack, even though he insulted Carville first.
The "just let it go" comment meant, "Ignore the profanity I just used, just go on with the interview".
Then, as someone suggested, they waved him off the stage or told him in his earpiece, "Get the fuck off the stage"... He appeared to be looking to a cue person right before he walked...

2. I think the "just let it go" was because nofacts could see the host |

was about to launch into asking him about what his deal was.
Or not, who knows what lurks in the mind of a traitor like nofacts.

I think the host suddenly shot him a look like "WFT are you doing"? You can kind of see the edge of his face change when Novak says Bullshit.
He was probably a little testy already about the book being there and knowing that were going to put him on the spot. He insulted Carville and when Carville jabbed it back at him, he blew up...

4. The whole thing is just odd. |

Nothing JC said was even out of the usual; in fact, it was quite tame.
Maybe I don't understand what JC was trying to say.

what exactly has the washington post editorial page been saying about Novak?
I'm not really in the know on that.
I really don't think the expeced Plame questions were an issue, because Novak could just use his "Can't talk about the case" excuse... Although since he did break his silence to tell the "Who's Who in America" lie, maybe he has damaged his credibility in deferring to his lawyer's advice.

7. I think it was a sub-conscious way to get out of answering |
|
the questions about Rove and the CIA. He has a lot of guilt and anxiety and has been under a lot of criticism and stress especially since he knows he has been lying. I think he didn't want to be their and absolutely didn't want to answer those questions about Rove and keep lying. His outburst was a sub-conscious way to get himself the fuck out of their. He had probably been thinking of ways to get out of the show but was afraid to do any of them. His flight mechanism then kicked in naturally right out of his sub-conscious. Sometimes the sub-conscious can be very effective at creating spur of the moment situations to help a person out of a tight spot.
Just my gut feeling.
