The dudes a bit down on his luck and needs a couple of Benjamin’s. SO...he finds some old dusty out-dated letterhead in the Niger embassy basement and starts to write out some info that Iraq was seeking 500 pounds of yellow cake. Surely he had to chuckle as he wrote the bogus fiction, filled with the forgotten names of ex-Niger Gov officials.

Then in a show of nerve, he sells the info to a couple of Peter Seller like characters in the Italian Government and makes off with a cool $3000.00... Ya gotta wonder if the 3 grand ended up in some Italian Brothel that very same night..;-)

Then it gets real interesting... Do we think for a moment that the vaunted M1(5) British Intelligence agency fell for these crude documents? I mean come on...It's the outfit James Bond works for... He wouldn't get past Miss Moneypenny with that crap. Me's Thinks that the Brit's probably had some beers with some CIA dudes and mentioned the farcical papers and the CIA guys ears perked up... Job Promotion...Job Promotion....

They then faxed it to Tenet who in turn faxed it to Cheney..... Now, my little scenario up above is meant to amuse..BUT..it does sound like it's playing out exactly like this...AND if it is playing out like this then low level embassy workers throughout the world are in search of old er....letterhead!

1. I think that a lot of palms got "greased" so that this screwup---
could happen.

2. But why does every one assume that the story
about a single forger is true? Since there has been so much manipulation, why couldn't an Intelligence agent have created the forgery?

3. Good point Frances!
It could very well have been created by Rummy and Wolfewitz and Cheney...and they are desperate to cover their asses because if we find out that they created this on their own, their asses are grass. Very good possibility, in my opinion.

5. I Agree Frances
All it would take is a phone call. "I don't care how you do it, but you must doctor up some uranium evidence for us." "Consider it done Mr. Cheney."
