3. It's not broadcast... lighten up

FCC can't fine CNN for the outburst because it's not on "public" airwaves. You could complain to CNN if you want, but I think it's disingenuous to complain about such a minor infraction. If Jon Stewart said it, you'd be cheering him.

We DON'T want the FCC to have jurisdiction over cable TV programming... TV will be ruined worse than than it already sucks.

4. Hold Your Fire...

I don't think FCC is the one to complain to on this one since profanity rules only pertain to "public airwaves"; hence, that is why Stern got in trouble. Otherwise, are we not allowing the freepers to control cable too--which means the slope could go towards movies and shows on premium channels such as HBO? Do you want the discontinuation of programs such as Six Feet Under, The Daily Show, or for that matter, C-SPAN?
