56% of Americans think bush is too Cocky, 52% think he's a Damn Liar

WASHINGTON - One of President Bush's most attractive traits has been his reputation for straight talk, but a new poll yesterday found that fewer than half of Americans think he's honest.
Only 48% of respondents to an AP-Ipsos survey think he's honest, while 50% do not, the poll indicated. That is a five-point drop from January, when 53% of Americans thought Bush was an honest President.

Moreover, some 56% of Americans think he's too cocky, up from the 49% in January who said they view Bush's confidence as arrogance.

1. When Clinton said "I feel your pain"...damn, I believed him.

The wonderful thing about Clinton was that he has such empathy with people. Hell, even seeing it on television, I picked up on it. And it's not bullshit...I believe that Clinton genuinely cares about ordinary, working class Americans. And there isn't an arrogant bone in Clinton's body. I saw a self-possessed man, sure of himself. But that's a far, far cry from the blind arrogance and cockiness of Bush.

I'm glad Americans are beginning to see the destructive arrogance of Bush. Couple it with his genuinely scary "God is on my side and I'm working as a agent for him" religious beliefs tied to a ultra right-wing agenda...and it's still terrifying.

That scen always makes me tear up...

The reason the GOP hated Clinton so much is that he was regular folk made good and since they see that the only way Americn people from poor stock can rise inthis country is through cheating and stealing and coniving, the capitalists model, they can't believe anyone could be genuine in their feelings and empathatic in their outlook....
