Where the Hell does the Reich come up wit this stuff?
"Gay advocates are practicing 'religious bigotry' and 'intolerance' by demanding Americans condone same-sex marriage."

1. Bigotry and intolerance?
Takes one to know one, I guess.

Feh.

2. We had the iraq war in 2002
Let's do the culture war in 2004. "Yeah, that's the ticket"-Karl Rove.

(a snippet from Bush's Brain)

We can't run on the economy, education, the environment, integrity, or foriegn policy, - - so let's do the values bit. Let's gin up a divisive issue, get it front and center in the media, accuse our opponents of having no morals, and win the election.

How about, let's just not take the bait this time.

3. How is asking to be tolerated practicing intolerance?
Jesus, the head of any logician worth his/her salt would explode on contact with this one. Why can't these people just grow up and understand that not everyone is exactly like them?

4. Want to hear something ironic?
<yeah, like it's something unusual these days. We live in ironic times>

Anyway, just last fall, a gay male friend called me a religious bigot for objecting to Asscrack being anointed into the office of AG. He added that he's not worried about Patriot Act, etc., because he "has nothing to hide." Sense someone who's gotten complacent?! <let alone completely uninformed of Asscrack's prejudices?>

So damned frustrating trying to save people from their own ignorance...

7. Can't force a church to perform a marriage
I didn't even read the article. I suspect this is the argument and it's just plain stupid. If a religion only wants to honor man/woman marriages, they will always be allowed to do that. Legal marriages are a matter of law. These people just don't understand that we are a nation of laws, not the Bible.
