Newsweek: Leak prosecutor's boss likely to be replaced with Bush
classmate; 'Skull and Bones'

RAW STORY

Newsweek's Michael Isikoff will splash a story in tomorrow's Newsweek
which reveals that the boss of CIA leak probe prosecutor Patrick
Fitzgerald is likely to be replaced by a former Bush classmate at
Yale.

What's more, Newsweek has found that the new boss is a fellow
initiate of the Yale secret society, Skull and Bones. Details will
appear on the magazine's website early Sunday and on newsstands
Monday.

Among other Skull and Bones initiates are William Taft, the 27th
President of the United States; Henry Luce, the founder of Time
Magazine; and Senator John Kerry (D-MA).

Patrick Fitzgerald, who is from Chicago, has been incredibly
secretive about his investigation into who outed covert CIA operative
Valerie Plame Wilson, and is known to be distrustful of the press.

Read more in Newsweek tomorrow.

50. Cause he does....
He just doesn't give a shit about anything....

He has a self mesianic glee that precludes any rational tinking about anything that doesn't fit his tight agenda of power and reward for those who made tat power possible...

But take heart....

His hubris will bring down the Republican party....

Edited on Sun Aug-07-05 03:00 PM by Gay Green
and for the rest of humanity's existence the US will be a horror and a byword amongst the nations.

Fuckin' BFEE / Skull-And-Bones bastards! They all carry on as if they are above the law because they can get away with it! They have a rubber-stamp House and Senate, a judiciary that will soon be a rubber-stamp apparatus as well, a captive media and a rubber-stamp vote counting system to boot!

The only recourse is violent revolution, IF it can be pulled off, and we know it CANNOT since the apparatchiks at the FBI and and other agencies in the US government have ordered their subordinates to spy on and keep dossiers on any and every activist group, let alone wanna-be revolutionaries!

It's all over, folks. NOTHING EXCEPT WW3 will bring down these bastards!!! Therefore, once hostilities begin (or ratchet up), expect the rest of humanity's existence to be very short and bitter indeed - save for an unseen extraterrestrial or divine hand from someplace that has the survival of humanity in its interest.

3. Merry Christmas!
Thanks for this post, but on a level of one to 10 in terms of surprises, this ranks right up there with the replacement of Archibald Cox when he got too close to the truth in the Watergate investigation; the difference then was that we had a media that wasn't the yahoos at Fox News or the MSMers who would rather report on Natalee Holloway (RIP, with no harshness, but it's true).

47. PRESIDENT JOHN KERRY !
I'm sorry, but I take DEEP offense by your remarks about John Kerry. He is one of the FEW influencial Dems, who is still actively KEEPING HIS PROMISES, and cares very deeply about election reform, "No child left behind" and is fighting to keep SS from being undermined. IN MY OPINION, the only mistake he made in the election, was not clarifying his statements about the vote for the war. He did not say if he had it to do over he would vote for the war!! He said he would vote to give the President the right to go to war after all other avenues ie..Diplomacy, and UN support were explored. It's not his fault that he and many other good Dems were "HOODWINKED" by the neocon liars, as we all were!! I get email updates from him almost every week, letting us know what he's still trying to do, and what he needs our help to accomplish. This Great Man would have made us all VERY PROUD TO BE AMERICANS!!!

90. THANK YOU!
I would be proud to join the other "Kerrycrats"!! I guess from the other two responses to my post, that we have a few here that are quite bitter over our loss! I too was upset that Kerry conceded too soon, but as for the funds...I seem to recall that our candidate had "boots on the ground" for the Ohio recount :banghead: which was a total waste of funds, as they had a "LOCK" on it!! To think that IDIOT Sec. of State is running for Gov. makes me sick!:puke: I also recall that Sen. Kerry contibuted a HEFTY sum of his money to the fight for the recount in Washington State to get the LEGITIMATE Gov.elected, and who sits in power now! I realize that a lot of people at DU don't want to back a "loser" again, but look how much "they say he lost by"!!! Remember one and all, Nixen had to try it twice, and he finally got in, unfortunately, and hopefully "SHRUB" will leave the same way he did!!!:bounce: We have to very careful about who we choose to run in '08 ! I am praying that John Kerry finally gets to "officially" hold the office of PRESIDENT, as he's EARNED IT!!! :patriot: :grouphug: to ya' ALL

70. One promise he forgot to keep
You remember...that one that would insure that every vote got counted? Wasn't there a huge legal fund for just that purpose?

Would he have made a good president?

Probably. Definitely better than the Pretender in Thiefdom that currently resides a 1600 PA Ave.

But a concession speach within hours of the closing of the polls doesn't show much in intestinal fortitude IMHO. (What did happend to that legal fund anyway? Anyone know?)

I liked Kerry better back in the 70's when he had more spine and less spin.

12. Isn't that a MAJOR conflict of interest??? I mean they have a lot of
that going on in this administration.

What is wrong with you Republicans that you cannot see how this man manipulates (along with his cabinet) the laws for his wealthy friends and their companies (stock of Halliburton have went up 205%) and you claim he is one of the greatest presidents ever.

Do you not see the graft in this administration? Can you not see the man look straight out at you through the camera's lens and lie to us all? Why do you continue to vote against your own best interest . . . just because he is a Republican? Well just because he is a Republican is not a good enough excuse.

He has used our fears (especially Republicans hook-line-and sinker) and God for his agenda. Everyone is a still in a little shock from the terrorists attacks, and as to form, whenever this country has a disaster, the people go for their churches to help them try to understand. Then there are those that feel if they do not follow what the church says, they will not be saved in the eyes of God.

Bush used all of this anthropology of society (or Karl "the traitor" Rove used it)and then they saw by using this was a win win situation.

History has proven this to happen at the beginnings of new centuries or the end of centuries. There is always talk of gloom and doom. Only thing with us is, we got to see it.

He is using you people for his on agenda as well as his rich friends. You really need to read up on Project for a New American Century (PNAC) They have their manifesto online for all to read and are not ashamed by any of it. I think if more of you Republicans did realize more about their plans for World domination, maybe you could see the evil behind this almost God-Like-man you have made out of Bush. Think of what is best for your family and your country . . . not what this man thinks and the politics.

102. I know. I am so tired of this administration using their philosophical
beliefs to change our Constitution and claim our Constitution is based on Christianity. I'm so sick of it. They are above the law that applies to every other citizen in this country. They feel the rules are different for them.

They can lose 9 Billion of our tax dollars and just call it improper record keeping. Wonder if I told the IRS that we lost about 6-months of my husband's pay, which was due to just sloppy record keeping, so we didn't claim the income. . . think it would work?

I got that silly feeling the WH evildoers are after him, although of course I really hope the following is just a rumor (but these crooks and liars Bush, Cheney, Rumsfailed, and PNAC gangsters may feel cornered by now so what they're up to next, nobody knows) :grr:

~ snip ~

"Those Voices of Reason will lose their vocal chords in the aftermath of a major terrorist incident within the United States. Indeed, Linzer's intelligence contacts remind me of the "sober" intelligence sources who told the truth about Iraq to Robert Novak in October of 2001. (See the posts directly below this one.) Soon thereafter, Novak, the administration, and much of the nation decided to disdain sobriety.

If it happened in 2001-2002, it can happen again -- especially if a portable nuclear device demolishes a portion of Chicago or some other American city. Long time readers will know why I've predicted such an event." http://cannonfire.blogspot.com/2005/08/most-important-story-of-our-time.html

I'm sick of them dancing around this "one world order" fraternity they've got going and their smug little smiles about it being "secret".

And I thought Fitzgerald's current boss is supposed to be in place until the end of summer, and Fitzgerald himself leaving after September? If this is the case, I would wonder if Fitzgerald has adjusted his deadlines to finish up before the fix gets sworn in.

It seems more and more they seized power from day one of George Jrs presidency.

It also seems George Bush Jr was their convenient ascension to power once again.

60. But it's too early for the trump card, isn't it?
Imagine what life would be like without an honest judicial branch of government

America remembers the photographs that they were shown of tiny, indiscernible fragments, which were described as pieces of a Boeing 757. Were these fragments of a Boeing 757? Internal photographs of the Pentagon taken by Jocelyn Augustino, a FEMA photographer, do not show engine parts matching the description of a 757’s engine turbofan according to John W. Brown, who happens to be a spokesman for Rolls Royce. Both Pratt & Whitney and Rolls Royce manufacture the engines used on these jetliners. The turbofans themselves are approximately 7 feet in diameter. The FEMA photos show what appears to be a single turbofan that is approximately 3 feet in diameter. This better fits the descriptions of eyewitnesses who claim that they saw what could only be described as a commuter plane capable of holding only 8 to 12 passengers. This single piece of evidence also helps support other reports from witnesses such as Lon Rains, editor for "Space News," who was quoted as saying “I heard a very loud, quick whooshing sound.

I was convinced it was a missile. It came in so fast – it sounded nothing like an airplane.” Don Parkal said, “A bomb had gone off. I could smell the cordite. I knew explosives had been set off somewhere.” Tom Seibert said, “We heard what sounded like a missile.”

This All is a nightmare for every American. Bush is the major calamity predicted for the world in the year 2000. On 12/12/2000, the US Supreme Court by a vote of 5 to 4 committed and illegal act and gave the keys, the big red doom's day buttons and the atomic football, to a MORONIC Head Cheerleader, instead of the REAL Quarterback, AL Gore!

79. Question:
If indictments are handed down, who then has the responsibility for the actual prosecutions?

Everybody seems to be saying that the grand jury is the only thing that can be choked off, but it seems to me that that the GJ is just the pre-game show.

If indictments come down, can't the Bushies just ride it out and delay and compromise the prosecutions so that everyone is finally acquitted anyway?

it is the actual trials themselves, we should be worried about. Who will try the case and will they be devoted to seeing them prosecuted to the full extent of the law? Or will they sell out and do a lousy job of prosecuting?

The indictments may be a foregone conclusion at this point. If that's the case, the WH will already be looking at the next pressure point they can use to minimize the damage and ultimately make it all go away.

I would love to post a topic, But understand I need to wait my turn.
However, I have a buring question...Bushco seems to still be putting people in place, Like he is the king of America, and plans to keep it that way...
We know 9/11 and the war were at least partially staged.
If another such scenario happened, Could he still be in power in 2008? Is there somethiong in the war powers act or some such?
I don't see these guys just hanging thier hats and walking away....

his stats are so low. His approval ratings on the war are truly the lowest they have been. Most Americans when polled do not trust him and thinks he is not be truthful. Those numbers lead me to believe that he would not be able to pull that trick off....

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8853002/site/newsweek/

"With Attorney General Alberto Gonzales recused, department officials say they are still trying to resolve whom Fitzgerald will now report to. Associate Attorney General Robert McCallum is "likely" to be named as acting deputy A.G., a DOJ official who asked not to be identified because of the sensitivity of the matter tells NEWSWEEK. But McCallum may be seen as having his own conflicts: he is an old friend of President Bush's and a member of his Skull and Bones class at Yale. One question: how much authority Comey's successor will have over Fitzgerald. When Comey appointed Fitzgerald in 2003, the deputy granted him extraordinary powers to act however he saw fit—but noted he still had the right to revoke Fitzgerald's authority."
