Evolution being mocked on Coral Ridge Hour right NOW |
|
Edited on Sun Aug-07-05 07:45 AM by gasperc
It must have been fate for my TV to be left on CBS this morning when I turned it on cause I don't normally watch these shows.
Anyway, the preacher, Dr Jmaes Kennedy, on the Coral Ridge Hour has been mocking the "theory" of evolution for about 20minutes now. It doesn't even rise to the level of theory.
Now he's naming of the world's greatest scientist's, all christians and all believers in "creation". All of them great indeed, yet all of them from the 18th and 19th century.
He just said that ALL the pillars of the theory of evolution have "Collapsed". The idea of a cell reaching the complexity to create life is impossible through evolution.
There is no facts to support evolution and HITLER and NICE were evolutionists. And racism is an evolutionary concept. He just said "Darwin was a racist" The leader of planned parenthood wanted to get rid of the weeds. I'm taping this with my DVR now.
THIS IS A COORDINATED ATTACK AGAINST SCIENCE. MARK MY WORDS!!!!
I paraphrased the best I could. People on the central and west coast tape and transcript.
"evolution is a fairytale for adults" "Lord we pray that you will topple this...theory...that the law of christ will prevail"

3. The preacher is Dr. Kennedy and his Coral Ridge Church is |
|
right on Hwy 1 just North of Fort Lauderdale FL. My g/f comes from a fundie family and I was forced to attend one sunday. Just on that day Dr. Kennedy ripped on gays and jews and I would imagine that every sunday he does more or less the same. If I have ever heard an evil man speak in person, it was on that day.
What can we do to stop this evil person?

5. Regrettably. Early logic for birth control/Eubonics was very racist. |
|
It's something we have to deal with, since we can't deny it.

|
is they reach MILLIONS of people who suck that bullshit right in. I have caught his act before when he did a tirade on social security as being bad like socialism. He made no sense at all.

Increasingly, I have come to believe that something in our hard-wiring DEMANDS that we humans have complex ideas to play with. In the absence of anything else, we will make them up - the theological arguements of the early Middle-Ages, over which people were burned alive, for example.
Lacking more productive mental games, we will kill each other over whether "God is One" or "God is Three" or Allah vs. Christ.
The real mystery is why, in the amazingly complex world that advances in science have opened to us, so many in this country still choose to fixate on these primitive religious concepts.

10. They don't need facts, THEY BELIEVE! |
|
That's the wonderful thing about being a believer, there's no pressure to produce FACTS! Blind faith covers it all from top to bottom without the presence of a single fact. They DO HOWEVER have a book written almost two thousand years ago by MEN! That trumps scientific fact any day in their opinion.
BELIEVE! It's so simple, there's not a bit of thought or curiosity necessary. What a way to go!

|
Honestly saying that compromise makes you stop believing in right and wrong, so you should not compromise. Ever.

22. and against that we should not EVER compromise either |
|
If we ever get the country back to a sane state (doubtful with the upcoming oil, food, and freshwater shortages), heavy sanctions against religious organizations is needed. e.g. revoking tax-exempt status across the board, intensive monitoring for hate speech and fraud, barring religious organizations from direct participation in politics (e.g. campaign contributions and voter drives and telling people how to vote), etc.

24. 'I know that I know that I know' often heard in pentecostal sermons |
|
and the idea that there is no room for doubt (ie, any questioning) in christian belief
you convert and then must believe everything anyone, esp. a preacher, tells you
and after this mind-set is firmly fixed, the preacher or televangelist tells you how to vote.....that the Christian Coalition voting guides are the modern word of god

17. It's a bit more complex than that.. |
|
However, note that Kennedy is one of the reconstructionist. Most here may not want to understand the complex web of deceit nor the origins of the reconstructionist. The short version is complex enough. Here are a few links to chew on. These are truly the most dangerous people to the republic that the world has ever seen. http://ohiorestorationproject.com/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westboro_Baptist_Church_(Topeka) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Reconstructionismhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominion_Theologyhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_Now_theologyhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R_J_Rushdoony

16. Let me get this straight, Dr. Kennedy... |
|
Hundreds of years of scientific testing, retesting, and varification by hundreds (or even thousands) of different people, a veritable mountain of evidence to the effect that the Earth is not the center of the universe, it's not flat, is billions of years old, and life evolved slowly is all wrong? While your book written by guys in grass huts without the slightest idea about chemistry, biology, and astrophysics is right?

there you go again about your "science", and all its "scientific" studies, created by "scientists", who "know things", and are "intelligent". I will pray for your un-enlightenment - you'll see, you'll be much happier if you're not bothered by any sort of "thought" or "logic".

this is a christian nation and they have a right to put their religion in our faces anytime they want to cause the right not to be offended is not in the constitution.
And for those of us who disagree with that, tough shit!!!!
I wonder if they will agree that getting their fookin clock cleaned when they get in our faces is also covered in the constitution.
These fookers are lookin to start a civil war. IMHO

23. Brilliant marketing strategy |
|
Send them money and they'll send you some book, called "The Collapse of Evolution" or something like that. But he knows the old ladies who watch his show couldn't care less about learning how to refute evolutionists with scientifically sound creationist arguments. So he suggests sending him money, getting the book, then giving it to somebody in high school or going off to college!
Ha! I can just imagine some aunt of mine sending me that book with a little card advising me to let Christ be my intellectual shield or something nauseating like that.
One thing I loved about this broadcast was how he kept couching evolutionists as liberals. This just makes atheist conservatives red in the face with rage. I give it a threefold "Haw Haw Haw!"
Next week: More on how there is not one single shred of evidence supporting evolution.
