The 'christian' Right used to support human trafficking
The 'christian' Right says it is opposed to human trafficking, honor killings by Muslims, etc.

So, then why did it oppose the Convention on the Rights of the Child?

Article 2, Section 2 of the Convention states that:

"States Parties shall take all appropriate measures to ensure that the child is protected against all forms of discrimination or punishment on the basis of the status, activities, expressed opinions, or beliefs of the child's parents, legal guardians, or family members."

This would have banned Honor Killings.

This would also prohibit Dominionists from executing their children. You do know that Dominionists have said that they would execute unruly children, right?

Article 11, Section 1 states that:

"States Parties shall take measures to combat the illicit transfer and non-return of children abroad."

This would have banned child trade.

It's interesting, first the 'christian' Right didn't care about the trading of humans, and now they are concerned about it.

They opposed the National Health Care plan for purely political reasons.

It does not surprise me that they flip-flopped on this for political reasons too.

What monsters.

Here is a copy of the Convention.

2. ISTR it mostly being related to the US' handling of juvenile offenders
I'm not surprised they're all for child slavery, though.
