Bush Plans to Fire Fitzgerald!
From http://tomflocco.com/:

BUSH PLANS TO FIRE PROSECUTOR:
Bush plans to fire prosecutor as federal agents prepare to arrest him

by Tom Flocco

Washington -- August 7, 2005 -- TomFlocco.com -- Sunday morning online editions of Newsweek and Time are reporting that the President is planning to fire Chicago's U.S. Federal Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald and replace him with a Bush classmate/Skull and Bonesman from Yale.

Following on the heels of these reports, we have learned from U.S. intelligence sources that federal agents are prepared to immediately arrest Mr. Bush if he fires Fitzgerald and seeks to obstruct justice and commit additional treasonous acts regarding ongoing grand jury proceedings against his administration and himself... more

As Napoleon once said, don't take away your enemy's rope when he is about to hang himself.

15. Rash tells big lies and millions of stupid dittoheads believe him
Like when Rash said Bill Clinton was going to have Howard Dean murdered. Like when Rash said we were going to find the nuclear missiles the French had sold to Iraq. Like the million zillion times Rash says something completely looney. If I take the most far fetched story from the furthest lefty of the left, it still would not approach the kind of lies Rash tells all the time.

Yeah, I wonder why Rash calls DU posters "nutballs."

4. DISINFORMATION ALERT.
Edited on Sun Aug-07-05 12:13 PM by FreepFryer
Even if true, it's the prosecutor's BOSS who may be replaced, not Fitzgerald himself.

{edit} Story here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8853002/site/newsweek/ {/edit}

More to the point, the stories of the Grand Jury indictments having been issued, and including GWB and most of his Cabinet, as well as the naming of Scalia and Rehnquist as 'unindicted co-conspirators', smacks of disinformation.

There is no mention of this on Time or Newsweek's online pages today.

In addition, there have been allegations that some of those involved may indeed be known disinformation sources.

Please resist spreading this story as fact until any of it can be independently corroborated.

Don't jump the gun just yet.

There is some conversation around Fitzgerld's boss who is being replaced:

What reason would he use to fire Fitz? (Other than protecting the gang?)

of Fitzgerald's investigation. If the righties have the guts to try it,the committee hearings would be the first step toward getting rid of Fitzgerald. The best way to do it would be to have scores of RW perjurers tell the committee that everyone in Washington knew Valerie Plame was an undercover CIA agent; then declare the investigation is senseless because no crime was committed; then use the RW propaganda machine to reinforce the message along with another message that Fitzgerald is an out of control prosecutor; then, when Fitzgerald's term expires in October, replace him with someone who they could call "less overzealous."

11. Sounds waaay to good to be true - the indictments part.
God I hope and pray that this IS the final outcome - the indictments part and the arrest part, not the fireing part.

It would be soooo healthy for OUR country.

Nixon did just that--fired the prosecutor who'd expose him as the criminal he is. Now Bush is preparing to fire the guy who dare reveal the truth!

21. AAAGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!
Stop posting Flocco! Stop giving his bullshit site hits! The man is a liar. For God's sake, he's just so unbelievably bullshit. He posts inflammatory nonsense so people will post links to it to give him hits on his website. That money goes directly to his crack cocaine habit, so says my anonymous made-up source inside Flocco's secret CIA safe-house compound.

22. Muray Waas (Whatever Already blog) has a good article on this:
"Fitzgerald to stay on the job for a long while (and news on other subjects as well)

There has been much discussion in recent days-- including this post by Josh and later postings by friends of Josh's over at his Talking Points Cafe regarding concerns that there might have been, in recent days, an effort afoot to not reappoint Patrick J. Fitzgerald as U.S. Attorney in Chicago, because either prominent Republicans or the White House are upset with his tenacious pursuit of the Plame matter.

No worries."

26. flocco doesn't even accurately report published accounts. Check Newsweek.
That's not what the article says and that's not what the preview of the Newsweek story featured on RawStory.com said either. See http://rawstory.com/news/2005/Newsweek_Leak_prosecutors_boss_likely_to_be_replaced_with_Bush_classmate_Scull_an_0806.html

Flocco's site can't be trusted even when it comes to his "reporting" on things which can be checked such as this.
