Ann & Nancy... Heart live video... Still going for the good things...
Edited on Sun Aug-07-05 09:03 PM by Tom Yossarian Joad
if your young and haven't heard them, find Heart and listen. They have started touring again and hang around Seattle...

They are playing on the HD digital music channel right now on directv and it's a recording worth recording.

They're pushing good things from their site:

“WE BELIEVE that in the best American tradition of helping others help themselves, now is the time to join with other countries in a historic pact for compassion and justice to help the poorest people of the world overcome AIDS and extreme poverty. WE RECOGNIZE that a pact including such measures as fair trade, debt relief, fighting corruption and directing additional resources for basic needs – education, health, clean water, food, and care for orphans – would transform the futures and hopes of an entire generation in the poorest countries, at a cost equal to just one percent more of the US budget. WE COMMIT ourselves - one person, one voice, one vote at a time - to make a better, safer world for all.” here: http://www.one.org/

Their own site here: http://www.heart-music.com/

Takes me back and leaves a good taste. Listen and feel better.

1. I absolutely love Ann and Nancy Wilson...
It's great that they are politically aware and active too. I saw them live a couple of years ago and totally recommend seeing them. They still rock!

4. I'm listening to them doing a cut from their new album and it seriously
kicks.

What a great surprise. The fact that they are staying with a Dem agenda pretty verbally makes them even better.

I can't believe they have improved!

3. Love them.
We saw them a number of years ago and they were fantastic. It's good to see so many high-profile people involved with the One campaign. I wear my bracelet whenever I leave the house.

9. As I recall, they bailed to Canada for a few years during the
Vietnam war so it doesn't surprise me that they would be more on the left/progressive side of things. Aside from that, do they still rock? Oh hell yeah. They never stopped. Ann's still has the screamingest female voice in rock 'n' roll. No one else even comes close. Even though their official releases are great, the studio doesn't really do them justice as their live stuff is sooooo much better.
