Imus vs. Peter Jennings? Does anyone know what's
the story there? I've heard Imus put him down but never knew why.

1. Probably because Imus is as stupid as a brick.
I don't know that Peter Jennings even acknowledged Imus' presence, ever.

I think Imus and the rest of the knuckledraggers thought he was a bit too sympathetic to Gore in 2000. Or that he called * "Mr. Bush" as opposed to "Mein Fuhrer" or whatever the fuck.

Or, it could have been that PJ was a Canadian--even though he became an American citizen a bit ago.

3. I watch Imus and have enjoyed parts for a lot of years.
I think their feud goes way back prior to 2000, but never figured out or heard why.

5. I think it was fallout
from Imus' Correspondent's Dinner speech in 1996, the one that pissed off nearly everyone in DC and made him a social leper in that town for a while. One of his jokes was a raunchy comment about Jennings' philanderings.
