The Last Journalist: Peter Jennings

I have been struck by how many references there have been to the fact that Peter Jennings wouldn't do the "garbage news". He boasted about never having done a single Lacey Peterson story. He talked about the importance of "hard news" and stressed international news. He was accused of thinly veiling his opposition to the Iraq War. He was one of the "good guys", last of a dying breed, a real journalist. He has left us alone.There seem to be no others left to follow him. We will miss you Mr. Jennings. Rest in Peace.

I know how it feels to lose someone you love dearly to cancer. I hope his family is doing okay. He was one of the best! (Him, Dan Rather and Greg Palast in my opinion)
