Could Bush Be Made To Pay For His Crimes AFTER He's Out Of Office? |
|
Assuming he doesn't resign suddenly and assuming that Cheney doesn't pull-a-Ford and pardon his sorry ass...
I'm guessing that EVENTUALLY all of their crimes will be revealed during THEIR lifetime. Will it be enough that history records them as having broken the law and being (technically) criminals or racketeers?
Or could justice be served with their imprisonment and/or fines?

public officials are indemnified for their actions as govt employees. However, TREASON is still a CAPITAL offense.

8. He could pardon himself |
|
It wouldn't surprise me that if the heat got too bad, he would issue himself a secret pardon that wuold cover a braod enough span so as to shield him form any prodscution. He would then claim the purpose was to "heal the country" and "protect him from vicious partisan persecution".
