If Cindy Sheehan is able to meet President Bush, she might well ask him why his two daughters, both eligible for the military, do not enlist and serve in Iraq. After all, his recent statement, "We will stay the course; we will complete the job in Iraq," suggests shared involvement.

Who is the "we" he is referring to? Sadly, Ms. Sheehan, the "we" is your son, and the less well-connected brave men and women who do our nation's fighting and dying.

1. Great letters.

(Except the one, of course!) The word is getting out there, a brief mention here, another there. It seems each day a former nitwit supporter sees the truth, and once seen, explodes in a rant fueled by their betrayed trust. I've seen two in the past several days do this on the Imus morning show of all places.
Gives me hope.

2. And the one dissenting letter ...

... came from wingnut radio talk show host Martha Zoller, who went to Kuwait and Iraq as part of the Sacramento-based right-wing extremist group Move America Forward's recent "Truth Tour."

4. Is there any proof that these a-holes went?

Or did they just fly to some retreat in the Bahamas and get their scripts for "all the wonderful things we're doing in Iraq"?

3. Even the bad one is somewhat understanding

My heart breaks for Ms. Sheehan and other mothers of the fallen. I deal with that by doing as much as I can for soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines and coasties during this war.

This is America's war and the world's war on terror. We are proud of the sacrifices of the fallen, and they are proud to have fought and died for Ms. Sheehan's right to question her president.

As disagreeing opinions go, I can live with that.
