my 84 yr old mother has Macaulay degeneration, she is pissed because she
could have saved her vision if she had know what to look for. 1 in 10 get this over 60.

I told her that we are in a new era, Education costs money and there are rich politicians that need that money.

Our only purpose in life today is to make Corporations money... our health doesn't matter, if we get sick there will be an illegal alain to jump into our seat.

when the 4th Reich ends Social Security, there will be masses of homeless and sick people on the street and in camps just like Calcutta India.. there are more homeless people in India than live in America.we have been reduced to slaves to Corporations..

My mother signed up for SS when it first started, so she doesn't get the Minimum later people get.. she gets about $670 a month. They just notified her they made a mistake in 1982 and will deduct $169.58 from her next check because they made a ONE CENT error in calculating her check. she was pissed... i told her to consider herself lucky it wasn't a $10 error.

she can appeal in the office 45 miles away, she cant drive, and if she wins she has to give them back 24% of what she wins to them for lawyer costs.

1. Yes, you are right.
The only natural persons (humans) that have value are the corporate officers, shareholders & the corrupt government officials that are raping the rest for their corporate masters. Traitors to the human race, all of them.

I'm sorry for your grandmother's difficulties. There must be many, many older people who are stunned at what this country has become.

3. When my husband's father died on Christmas eve in
1998 we were appalled that one of the first pieces of mail we received was a letter from the SS administration requesting that we return the SS check paid to him for the month he died. It's set up so that even if a person dies on the last day of the month at 11:59 PM, the check for that month has to be returned.

Couldn't they prorate the damn thing?

It's bad enough surviving family members are coping with their own grief, not to mention doctor and hospital bills, and funeral expenses. And along comes the SS administration wanting its pound of flesh - that's already been spent.

We have to have better services here to take care of our people. But of course all the right has to do is cry "Communist!" or some nonsense.

We're supposed to be the "land of the free" and whatnot but we have the most expensive health care program in the world. If I was an immigrant fleeing I would probably want to go to Canada.

7. macular degeneration
wouldn't be too sure she could have saved her vision, a very highly educated relative has it, appears to be resistant to treatment

abt the social security error, since she can't drive, i would advise contacting her congressman, could be he or she could fix this, worth a shot, and the congressman won't take a % like the lawyer does
