LTTE: Stop Beating Up On President's Associate
in The Day, Eastern CT newspaper

Wanna meet a Sheeple or Rove slave, read this LTTE

<SNIP>
Although I have not read the book, I did know Mr. Rove when he was director of research at the Republican National Committee and I was a research fellow on his and Mary Louise Smith's staff during the tumultuous aftermath of Watergate. Mr. Rove is a big-hearted, moral and fair individual who has worked diligently and ethically to promote not just George W. Bush, but Gerald Ford and George W. H. Bush and every other Republican who runs for office. He never took cheap or dirty shots at the opposition, not even when he had the goods to deliver quite a pop and others may have been gunning for vengeance.

If Karl Rove influences anyone's opinion, it would be based on research and many varied points of view. He delivers research, strategy and analysis and works the political arm of the presidency as everyone expects him to do, especially the president, so the president of the United States can do his own job. Why do some insist on demonizing staff people from Donald Regan to Karl Rove when they are doing their jobs to the best of their ability and in the best interests of each of us in this country? They are not the enemy.

1. This should be flagged with "Barf Alert"
I don't know how to do the little icon thingies, so I can't do it.

Moral and fair? I'm sure Sen. McCain would agree with that after the SC primary a couple years ago.

My life's ambition is to see this creep perp-walked out of the White House in irons. Along with Novak.

2. this is indicative of the mentality we are up against...
the false perception that those in the WH are big hearted, moral, and working in our best interests. Any idiot can see that it is exactly the opposite.
