I just been talking to my old army buddy in Germany, still trying to
get out but can't because of Bush.

She told me the military folks she knows are following this story of Cindy and they are sending her money. My friend is a nurse and she has to deal with the broken bodies coming from Iraq, she has changed so much. She is going to need some help also dealing with her depression, we email each other everyday and I can see the difference in her. Bush is running around on his vacation while my friend is working 12 hour days, sometimes 7 days a week.

4. Thank you for your kind posting, I just needed to rant.
My friend used to be so cheerful, smile all the time.

Now, forget the smile. She was home on leave for two weeks, but she was just a ghost. Bush is destroying the whole military, from top to bottom. Just how many broken bodies can one deal with, I don't know how she is doing it. She tells me many of the medical personal are drinking more and more, how sad is that.

This is why I am going to Washington in September, I hope so many of us show up we rule the city.

12. Sorry to hear about your friend.
Dubya is destroying the military, no doubt about that. He doesn't care about the war because it's your friend and all those who serve that bear the burden. It doesn't affect him at all (except for increasing his war profits, of course). Please thank your friend for her service and also for supporting Cindy. I wish her and all the others serving the best. We need to bring them home now before more suffer and/or die for a pack of lies.

8. Thank you, I will pass on your message to my friend.
My friend is a tough woman, doing her job but it is killing her.

The wounded don't always have wounds that show on the outside, if she can get out she will come to stay at my house, she as a room waiting for her. I will make sure she gets the help she needs.

Go Cindy, kick Bush's ass and thank all of you who are helping her.

7. I hope your friend the nurse comes home soon
She deserves the rest, and whatever chunk of the federal Treasury she wants. Reading your post and the responses, it suddenly occurred to me what might happen should George W. Bush call out the troops to make the scary grieving mother leave him alone: Would some or all of them refuse to move Cindy Sheehan?

Just thinking about the possibility brought a smile to my ratlike little visage.

10. Aww
:( Mrs. Sheehan (or Ms?) is getting tons of coverage. It's truly amazing how people all over the world are watching this one woman.

I appreciate what she and the others are doing. I'll send out postive energies and good wishes and say prayers (if that is okay) for her and the folks in her unit. :grouphug:

 A hug for you too, thanks for being such a good friend.

13. Thank you, prayers are OK.
My friend's unit is so over worked, and she tells me that sometimes they don't have enough beds for the incoming wounded.

The wounded are getting the best care that can be given, but even then so many die. This is what is so hard for the medical personal to handle, they try so hard to keep the kids alive and then sometimes that isn't enough. Just sitting here, it hard to type, I don't know how they handle it over there.

Seeing Cindy, gives me hope. One woman taking on Bush and his gang of thugs, bless her and all that are with her.

14. merh, that quote can not be published enough, where did she first say it ?
and who was she talking to.

The quote distills a lot into a very simple easy to understand question.

Why do the right wing media so assiduously scrutinize the words of a grief filled
mother and ignore the words of a lying president? ~~ Cindy Sheehan ~~ 8/9/05

15. The quote is in her Day 3 report

Report from Cindy - Day 3

Where do I begin?

Today was a highly eventful day. This entry won’t be artful, but utilitarian.

I conservatively got 3 to 5 phone calls a minute. I did about 25 phone interviews and several TV interviews. I did several right-wing radio interviews. I was supposed to do: The Today Show, MSNBC live interview, Connected Coast to Coast (MSNBC) and Hardball (MSNBC). The Today Show just never showed up and the other 3 MSNBC shows cancelled for no reason.

Another big story that was going on today was about my first meeting with Bush in June of 2004. For you all I would like to clarify a few things. First of all, I did meet with George, and that is not a secret. I have written about it and been interviewed about it. I will stand by my recounting of the meeting. His behavior was rude and inappropriate. My behavior in June of 2004 is irrelevant to what is going on in 2005. I was in deep shock and deep grief. The grief is still there, but the shock has worn off and the deep anger has set in. And to remind everybody, a few things have happened since June of 2004: The 9/11 commission report; the Senate Intelligence report; the Duelfer WMD report; and most damaging and criminal: the Downing Street Memos. The VERY LAST THING I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS IS: Why do the right wing media so assiduously scrutinize the words of a grief filled mother and ignore the words of a lying president?

In the early afternoon, we got word that if we were still there by Thursday, we were going to be deemed a “security threat” to the president. Condi and Rummy are coning in on Thursday for a “policy” meeting. I just don’t understand why we will be a security threat on Thursday when we aren’t now? If we don’t leave on Thursday, we could be arrested. Well, I am not leaving. There are only three things that would make me leave: if George comes out and talks to me; if August comes to an end, or if I am arrested.

Spread the Word! This quote is powerful and honest!
