any Texas educators here know anything about section 504
if so,What is it exactly.

1. 504
Section 504 makes it unlawful to discriminate against those who are considered handicapped. ("Handicapped" is surely, by now been replaced by "disabled," but that was the original wording.)

Handicapped/disabled was used in an extremely broad way, including such things as obesity. In short, any condition that makes a significant impact on someone's daily life.

I was an Educational Diagnostician in Texas for many years and this is from memory.
