Sometimes I hate being a liberal. |
|
It's true. I've been censored at another site for posting about Cindy's story (which I pared down to the facts and kept as non-political as I could). Granted, the site has rules about political posts, but I really thought that it could be on there considering other posts that have been okayed. It was dumb of me--a bad decision in a weak moment of anger about that prick not meeting with Cindy, a Gold Star Mom for pete's sake.
Apparently, though, the moderators have been concerned about me for awhile, feeling that I make too many political posts. Not that they told me that . . . :eyes: Anyway, they feel that I egg people on when I post back, asking questions and trying to understand what they're saying or explaining how I'm not comfortable with them linking their church's website or whatever. Yup--being a liberal has gotten me in trouble because I actually try to understand people and communicate with them. :(
Wouldn't it just all be easier if I could just get mad, stick to my party's talking points, and not listen to or care about anyone else? It sure seems like it would be.

I have tried to be a Republican before, but it just didn't take. Apparently, I ask too many questions. ;)

2. Did this happen on a knitting site? |
|
I once referred to the fiber universe as encompassing everything from people who raise sheep to people who sew with machine-woven cloth and got flamed for using the term "universe" instead of "multiverse".
Some people are just a little too tightly wrapped...

It was okay at first, but the thread started devolving into people just parroting both sides of the debate, which wasn't my intent and was quickly locked.
Um . . . how is multiverse a better term? Is it because we all tend to prefer the String Theory as opposed to Einstein's version? ;)

Either that, or she'd just finished a home dying experiment and got too close to the pot.

Now you've made me have to go and clean my monitor. :)
Yeah, it's either the fumes or the fact that we're all so dang defensive about our respective crafts. I'm taking a break from the site for a few days, but if they're going to keep me under watch and all, I'm going to have to leave.
